    This is my favorite foundation, but I haven’t found my summer shade yet, so I’ve been using some other foundations I enjoy. As soon as fall hits and my skin lightens up, I will definitely go back to this foundation. I’m in my mid 50’s and I agree… people will love this foundation!!! Thanks for the video! Looking forward to your “Lives”!

    I 100% agree! This is the BEST foundation ever! I just turned 59. I have normal to dry skin. And this has been my number 1 foundation for several months now. And I have a LOT of foundations across all price points. It’s definitely long wearing and whenever I wear it I get compliments on my skin and I can’t believe how gorgeous it still looks at the end of the day.
    Now having said that I was recently influenced (🙈) to try the new Hourglass skin tint and holy moly - another gorgeous foundation! And a long lasting one which completely surprised me:) it’s got the number 2 spot 😊
    And my all time fav brushes are BK Beauty 😍

    I love the Haus Labs foundation. I just discovered it, and was able to get a few different samples in a couple of different shades. I found my perfect shade, and will purchase it soon. I have dry skin, but live in a very warm, humid climate. I love the shade range this offers. Love that I don’t have to mix 2 shades, or bronze my face, to match my body. This just works on its own. Impressed.

    I tried the Haus Labs foundation several times and ways and I feel meh about it. In its defense, I have extremely dry skin and prefer a more glowy finish. Faves are Chanel Les Beiges, Givenchy Prism Libre, and Revlon Illuminance. I hope this helps those of us with extremely dry skin!

      Hi. Sorry you're having a challenge with this foundation. If you happen to have oily, or even slightly oily skin, you may want to apply a mattifying primer. It is more of a serum formula which may be causing some of the issues you're experiencing.

If you like a matte finish and have oily skin, I would suggest a mattifying primer and light dusting of loose powder over extra oily areas (probably similar to what you might do now) My T-Zone gets oily and I wash my face with coconut oil and I find this foundation wears fine, but it's not matte.

    Sunscreen is supposed to be last. For the obvious reason. You can disturb the product. Moistize before sunscreen. Let the sunscreen sit on the skin for at least 10 min. Before foundation placement. And 1/4 teaspoon. For face and neck Of sunscreen. This is, of course, if sunscreen is a priority for you.

    • @JodiMannes
      @JodiMannes  Рік тому +4

      Thanks for sharing the amount of sunscreen to use. Laying before or after moisturizer depends on the sunscreen you're using. For mineral sunscreens, you're absolutely right, they go on after moisturizer. For chemical sunscreens, it's recommended they be applied before moisturizers. Allowing the sunscreen to be absorbed by the skin is important, as you pointed out.

      Great question, Karen. It doesn't on me. I wear a primer under my foundation however. If you have oily skin, it may 'slip' if you don't use a primer and/or setting powder.

    Ok what did she just say about getting an "IPL" & it getting rid of hyperpigmentation!?!?
    Please, will someone, tell me what that means? (IPL?)
    I am 49 & used to sunbathe, so i have 2 hyperpigmentation marks & i am have light neutral skin, so it's really hard to cover them up, especially if i want a light makeup day, because it takes forever (and yes ive tried all the color tricks, etc)
    I hate them so much & my plastic surgeon said he cant get rid of them😭
    If anyone could fill me in id be so so grateful!
    Thank u, in advance 😘

      Hello. I have done IPL to get rid of hyper pigmentation. I can't speak to how it would work for you, but here is a complete video on the process I (and my skin) went through. I hope this helps! ua-cam.com/video/_E661qpwqUw/v-deo.html

      Hello Ebony. You have been on my mind and heart over the past few months as your presence in the comments was a noticeable void. I'm so very sorry for your loss and pray for continued peace for you and your family. I hope when the mug arrives, you are able to start each morning off with a cup of coffee or tea and a smile knowing you're thought of, and a positive presence for me and so many others. Sending you a big virtual hug from across the ocean. 💕

      I didn't realize how gluten in skincare and makeup products can impact some people with Celiac Disease. Even though it's a digestive condition, research is showing that some people have similar reactions when they gluten is in topical products they use.

    she finally got to name of foundation at almost half way through video. also so happy she is pleased for all the darker colors in the shade range but many of us we need lighter shades which are disappearing while darker colors grow. guess it is too much to have both? first and last time viewer.

      I recently reviewed the new elf Camo Hydrating CC Cream that just came out and it wears very similar on my combo skin. It contains several skin care ingredients and the wear time exceeded 8+ hours. Might be worth trying if you're on the market!

    Too too dark for your fair lovely skin. I suspect that your face looks unnatural when you’re in a swimsuit. Nice finish though.

      It definitely can be too dark if I don't wear self tanner on my neck/chest (which I typically do in the summer).

    You are lovely, but the foundation you're wearing looks too dark for your skin tone, imo...(maybe it's your bronzer)

      Hi Tammy, I'm so sorry to hear that. Do you have oily or combo skin? I've heard some people say if they have oily skin, this formula is a little to 'serumy' for them and tends to slide. You could try a mattifying primer under it and/or a setting powder if that's the case.

    As a light-medium super cool toned person (almost a grayish red tint to my white skin) finding a shade was very difficult. I have 3 shades (110, 130 & 200), I've settled on 130 for winter skin although it looks peachy and sometimes in a 10x looks like it's giving that tiny pattern clinging to the skin, I've discovered you have to let this DRY down a good 20 minutes before you look. Otherwise, I've been the only person who did NOT like this foundation. Now I do. 🤍

      @JodiMannes  5 місяців тому +1

      Hi Cindy! Thank you so much for sharing your experience with this foundation. You make a great point for people who may not like how it looks and that just waiting the 20 minutes or less, could make the difference. I'm glad you're enjoying the foundation and have found a shade that is working for you!
