Well, gg on that fight with me, definitely was a good one.
I knew if I wanted to win I had to risk it there since it was only 2 minutes of match time or so left, the fight was pretty much over when you got me to overshoot, but that was definitely a good one.
This guy is the reason I went from shocking to competent in a couple of months. If you ain't subbed and want to be a good pilot then wtf are you doing? 😂

Today while flying my F80 I ran into an SK60, and remembered how you said to fight them, successfully drained him of his energy, and had him flame me for a solid minute because of it. Very good guide!
SK60s are very much overpowered, mine absolutely decimated my SL reserves effortlessly

The full-commit head-on is meta right now. As a middling player I often find it difficult to judge the merge correctly to avoid bleeding too much while avoiding that incoming spray. Too early or too aggressive and they end up on my six, too late or too gently, and I am already getting crits from the incoming. I must be missing something in my merge; it feels like such a precise maneuver to perform safely and effectively, and given the meta I really want to improve my merge. Far too many head-ons in my games, and every game I see.

@@Hatchbackiller Actually, Stealth has the same amount of Incendary rounds, sooo....
It doesn't actually matter all that much. I like stealth because well... the rounds are steathy. In props a lot of people who use tracers are easy to defeat since I always know how tight someone turns. The laser also shows where you turn and how fast you turn.

I don't play War Thunder, but if you ever have an interest in aerial combat strategies and tactics, (like me) DEFYN is a phenomenal pilot and his explanations of his fight tactics, why you do 'x' when plane 'y' does maneuver 'z' etc are easy to understand.

@@hyperion9937 not one of but the best starter jet , you just have to know the basics of energy fighting and keeping your speed , shallow dives and shallow climbs are your friends, boom and zoom every one to death and the ones u can't outrun you can outturn .

It's a bit painful stock but you get those upgrades fairly quickly :)

Old video so you might not see this DEFYN, but what should I do in regard to learning enemy planes? I've only gotten to Tier V with the U.S so far so I'm inexperienced with jets. When I die a lot of the time I'm not sure what I did wrong so I don't know how to learn from it. Does this just come with experience and more flight time against jets? The jet grind is long and expensive in SL or I'd be trying to spread my research out to get to try the other jets out but it really does take a lot of time. Should I just keep at it and try to learn as best I can? Thanks if you see this, or if anyone else with experience sees this and takes the time to reply.

Every time i encounter an enemy it is either when i have a lot less energy, a 2v1 or when thwy full commit a head on and their aim is so bad that they muss every shot and when i try to dodge those missed shots hit me

I know I'm the 100th person to have a request but you should try out the C.202EC. it is very underated and people don't expect it to come up behind you and rip off your wing in 1 shot
It has to get behind u first and that's just... Yeah if it does you fucked up horribly. The C202 is insane... The EC only gets guns and that's it, performance is garbage

F-80's are so nice at dunking on the incompetent Su-11 pilots. Also i just love how americans designed it. Sleek and fast, also quite maneuverable.
You always stress the importance of knowing your plane/the enemy's plane. Do you have any suggestions on how I could do this? Are there any guides that gives that info, is it something you figure out by feel?
Jengar has *some* jet videos though he's more of a prop guy, but you can at least gather a bit of info on a plane's basic performance characteristics by watching what he has out there, in terms of stuff like stall and rip speed, roll rates, etc. Realistically though you'll just have to gather most of it from experience.

Playing the bv 238 is kinda hard these days :/ . Either play something with low repair cost or get the xp50/Japanese corsair. The first one is completely broken, the other one has great sl rewards.

It remains the same answer: there's not really a trick to it. But a good way usually is to play a plane you like to play a lot and are somewhat good in so you can make a net profit. As long as you make a profit in the long run, it's good.
It gets better if that plane happens to have a higher SL modifier or lower repair cost. A premium account also never hurts (if you can afford it), and so is a premium aircraft you like to play (they usually also have a low repair cost too).
This thing's repair cost is just prohibitively high. 17,000 SL is ridiculous for a plane that a lot of people mostly use to learn how to fly better planes.
