yday I got sniper + spices, got wiped by corrosie toxins dooley, then I enchanted my Waterwheel with Restorative, which killed my board due to bug and I lost the run. This patch is amazing.
hey, kripp! i want to just remind you about what you have said in the intro: you said that doubleing sniper rifle's damage goes first and then it times 10x but it does not really matter because 2 times 10 is exactly the same as 10 times 2. so basically that does not matter. if i remember correctly, the timings in bazaar are not the same so if you lower cd of an item with or without another reduction (for example silencer) it may or may not give -0.1 sec cd cuz it only applies flat numbers of cdr (if it wouldn't apply only flat it wouldn't be relevant to get -n% cd after removing another -m% cd), so it is better to remove silencer before reducing the cooldown, but with damage these amplificators (like 2x before 10x) are irrelevant.
What Kripp meant in a badly worded way that if you get a 10% damage increase on diamond sniper, the 10% gets taken from the total damage, then that 10% gets multiplied by X10 again because of diamond sniper. I don't know for sure if it works that way though. Haven't been able to do a sniper build myself yet
@Trololoc obviously it does not apply twice. now, when i think about it, I think kripp meant that any damage applied to sniper rifle then gets 10x not like 10x and then some krap like +9 raw damage from sharpening blade but +90 due to the multiplier.
@@absolute9849Have diamond sniper and spices. Spices take the damage displayed on sniper and add to it as a flat bonus to the base damage new base = old base + 10*old base Which is now getting multiplied again by 10 giving you 110*old base. Spices multiply displayed damage on the sniper not by 2, but by 11. This is the exact same as with belt and with +% health on Pyg.
@@masonskiekonto590 ah, i understand what kripp meant now, thanks. there just not much of these 'apply the buffed dmg to base' mechanics in the bazaar rn. also, i actually had one of these runs with spices and sr, and with a refill of spices' ammo. it crushed my game against an infinite mob (idk what is his name)
in terms of math you are absolutely correct, but in the game it is probably coded something like "my base value is tripled and any further damage increases are tripled". in practice what sometimes happens is: Sniper has 100 damage Sniper increases said damage to 100*3 because it's the only weapon an outside source doubles the damage by adding 300 damage to the weapon the sniper goes "hold on, I haven't tripled this new number yet!" and triples the bonus 300 to 900, resulting in the actual formula being 100*3+(100*3*2)*3=1200 it might also re-mult the total rather than just the increase, idk for sure, just here to explain that it's a code thing rather than a math thing.
Can someone explain why he moves the silencer(scope he calls it) and jetpack looking thing into his chest when using the feather and wing? I have seen him do this in multiple videos and I have never understood why. why doesnt he want to reduce the cooldown of those items as well?
He does it when he sells a cooldown reducing item because they will reduce by more time. As an example say moving them brings his sniper cooldown from 9s to 10s, then a 10% reduction will be -1s instead of -0.9s.
Well i dont think that this actually makes a diffrence beside the braclet. If it is % based you should not have to remove it . Lets say you have 10 sec cd item : -10% from item (EG Silencer) = 9 sec --> - 10% from one time use = 8.1 sec Easy to see that if you would swap it is does not make a diffrence As long as both values are % based it doesnt matter.
@thomaskellner8102 it doesn't work the way you would think it would work. Taking the silencer out greatly increases the effectiveness of feathers and other cool down reduction items. In fact if you have something like knee brace or necronomicon having those on the board increasing the base cool down will increase the effectiveness of those items as well. It essentially permanently snapshots the shown cool down and applies the cool down reduction not as a percentage but a flat amount. It's not just percentages as you would think
I just lost my game to a 2200 damage sniper build, i had a 3k shield shack with 50% reduced cooldown and 2.5k shield scarf. Was not enough because his sniper had like a 2 second cooldown or something (despite me having the monster skill that increases enemy cooldowns) I would have won too if his sniper didnt crit 3 times in a row while none of my stuff didnt crit at all.
Hate this meta atm... hope the staff can get back to "balancing" the game soon. We need new broken items to abuse for weeks while nothing is done to actually open up build diversity.
You don't need to worry about percentage cd reduction items when using a feather. 10s x .9 (scope) x .94 (jetpack) x .94 (insect wing) x .96 (feather) = 7.63s 10s x .94 (insect wing) x .96 (feather) x .9 (scope) x .94 (jetpack) = 7.63s Percentage based changes do not care about order relative to each other. You only need to worry about solid number addition or subtraction to the cd. Like brace.
This assumes you'll keep the percentage cd reduction items the entire game. If you remove the jet pack effect, as he does, then it would have been better to apply the feathers without it.
@TheQxtm No. 10.0s x .9 (scope) × .96 (feather) / .9 (removing scope) = 9.6 10.0s x .96 (feather) x .9 (scope) / .9 (removing scope) = 9.6 It makes no difference whether applied with or without percentage based reductions like scope.
@@___i3ambi126 Nope, that is not how feathers, wings, or cd reduction level up reworks work in The bazaar. They take a snapshot of your current cd and apply a flat reduction to an item's base cooldown. Thus, they have a bigger effect if board effects aren't applied. The actual math is Feather applied without silencer: (10.0-(10* 0.04)) X 0.9 = 8.64 Simplified : (10.0-0.4)*0.9= 8.64 Feature applied with silencer applied is :(10.0-(10*.9*0.04))*.9= 8.676 Simplified (10.0-0.36)*0.9 = 8.676
As a side note, this is also why the brace trick even works. Since the items current cd is higher when you sell the feather/wing/level up reward, it applies a bigger reduction to the base cd. You could also do something similar with the skill "one shot, one kill" if you have multiple weapons. Remove all but the weapon you want to buff, sell a wing, then reequip your other weapons. It will boost the wing effect by 50% (multiplicatively).
