If your has the pedestal wing it has the right holes already. I’m not sure about convertibles.

any installation video on an ss 1le trunk lid where you have to drill holes
We don’t have one but on our grey 1LE we did have to drill 3 holes and cover the rest with vinyl to install.
I wanted to ask, I just bought mine a couple days ago and will get delivered soon. Does it come with the adhesive that attaches the trunk to the pillars? Or will I have to put my own
Yes, it comes with the 3m tape.

Did you notice a huge performance change? I Saw another video where a guy said he was noticeably slower because of the drag.
Nothing noticeable but it could be. Car went 12.2 at the track the other day and that is consistent with what I see around. If I get it to grab it prolly had a 12.1-12.0 in it.
@@DroppinGearz gotcha, I was running 12.6 but it was my first time ever out on a 1/4 mile so. Good to know it’ll still get factory 1/4 mile times if not better with the wing on lol can’t wait for mine to deliver. Thanks for the reply and awesome videos man!
Thats made for track its suppose to give you better air flow thats why ZL1 1LE have this wing stock.
Im having trouble with the middle pilar, i got the bolt to attach the pilar to the spoiler, but the bolt goes right through the hole in the white part. Did you put the bolt through the large middle hole of the white part? My box didnt come with instructions so not sure if im doing something wrong.

Quick question bro on her wing did she paint hers a matte black or left it unpainted ? I just got mine with the primer black and I’m not sure if I should leave it unpainted or get it done in a satin black

It should fit if you have the pedestal wing. For the circuit track is good but for the 1/4 it does slow you down a tad bit.
I purchased the same wing, but did you have any problems where the posts on the ends will not tighten up and there was a 1/4" gap ?
Mine set good with the 3m and bolted on. It has some play front to back when you mock it. I don’t remember which way to set it so it sits flush.
@@DroppinGearz Just to let you know I just found out the problem. It seems that the Tubes that the long screws go into are to long. I had to cut 1/4" off. now it fits.

Yes! Trunks are all the same no matter what model.
I have the same car as the silver, was the install different?
She didn’t swap trunks so extra holes had to be drilled and the extra holes left from the 1LE spoiler had to be covered.

Hey man i have a 2021 ss 1le red color and i want to put the zl1 1le wing on it but it said dont match what does that mean?
I covered the holes with a small strip of black vinyl but that is meant to be temporary until I get the holes filled. The better plan would be to get a replacement trunk lid if you can but needs to be one from an SS or ZL1 that had the 3 Pilar wing or no wing at all. That’s what I was gonna do but there were none available for a decent price when I was doing mine

I'm thinking about getting this on my LT1. It has the RS body so i think we may need to put some holes in my friend.

I’m not sure. It depends on what wing or lip it has on the trunk.

No. Unless you cover the excess holes left from the 1LE spoiler or do a trunk swap with a non 1LE.

I was able to find somebody local and exchange trunks on the white one. She put a vinyl stripe to cover hers but she’s in the process to checking out who can do the work to cover the holes. I would say change the trunk if you can. The vinyl stripe works on her Camaro because of the color. You can’t tell much. In some color it will show more.

Have the same wing, but I'm scared shitless of losing one of the winglets. Anyone got experience drilling self tapping screws?
It’s been on silver car over a year with no issues. Just epoxy and and double sided tape. It’s designed to work that way it will be fine.
Does it come with the epoxy?
No, just the 3m tape. I got the epoxy at the local auto parts store.
@@DroppinGearz how long did you let the epoxy set for before you drove it again?
I didn’t drive the car for a full day only. It was quick dry and it had 3m tape too. All good so far.
