@@helmetnachos17 yeah bro, fried rice is a main dish forever and ever!
you can actually cook rice in a pot too, but requires experience on the water rice ratio coupled with proper control of the heat.....in conclusion, just get a rice cooker. also, the rice needs not necessarily need to be cooled overnight, just cooled enough to be at room temperature. to have a better egg flavour, you can beat the eggs and add into the cooled rice before frying.
I actually feel so bad for Jamie Oliver. He looked so happy while making the video but afterwards, 😣😣.
Poor Jamie😞
@@helmetnachos17 yeah lol 😓
"because you dont have any friends in general-" i feel you man
As somebody from England I feel like I need to say - we don't like Jamie Oliver. He has a weird obsession with healthy food and makes videos for moms who never learned to cook.
In school I never got any chocolate because he took it all away.
I been thru several reactions of this video and im weirdly blown away how we laugh at different jokes.
Did you know that this is not uncle Roger's real personality
He created a character called uncle Roger and acts like it
@Alex zees Rice is wet
I must say, I was genuinely shocked when he added water in the middle of frying the rice, I have never heard of that
I love how well you sychronized your thoughts with uncle Roger.
2:23 looks like you slipped there
Lol
For goodness sake, we even have Lee Kum Kee Chili Garlic Sauce and for me, it is better than chili jam and it is also good for egg-fried rice.
Dude, I lived in Hawaii for 18 years and know how to cook rice, how this "pro" chef fails so hard is astounding me
While the pan problem can be tolerated (not everyone has a wok in their home or something), I never heard of chili jam at all. No, not even in Indonesia. The closest we get is sambal, which is basically chili sauce: Indonesia edition... And it's not really a sauce like the sauce you would see.
While props for 'creativity' to this chef, I have to say that it won't stick well with Chinese people...
And also... Tearing tofu? The closest I can do is to cut it nicely tbh
So this chef deserves the roasting. Despite so, I had to, again, give props to this chef's creativity though.
Also that's too much oil.
P.S. this reaction is just hilarious and heartwarming to see! And uh... "Now I know British people like wet rice" THAT IS PRICELESS LMAO
Chili jam is something us white people most definitely came up with. We get creative when it comes to jam flavours eg a small business in my country does Apple - pumpkin jam, peach-tyme, etc
Egg fry rice is not a side dish,it's a main dic- dish

" because you don't have friends in general " lol 😂🤣

@@helmetnachos17 only 6, dude?
Lucky bastard!!!
Dude i'm whiter than white but even i know that you should do none of what Jamie Oliver did to cook this recipe (i watch so many japanese cooking videos)
whiter than white? You are too white then😀

As a white person, I'd like to answer your question regarding if this is how white people cook rice.. some do. My family? Nope. 7:08
Congratulations 🎉 Your have educated white parents👍
@@helmetnachos17 I'm so thankful for them because of it. I don't want to be called a stupid white person. ROFL
I grew up thinking I hated rice. Turns out I just hated my parents' rice.
I started using instant rice after I left home and I was wowed by actually liking rice.
Now I make my own rice and I can't eat the instant stuff anymore because now it's just overcooked garbage to me.
My family yes... We drain rice... Sorry ❤️
"That rice is so wet you can see your reflection! Mulan is gonna come sing about it!" I. Am. Dead!
I'm still waiting for the gordon ramsay reaction
