@GamingNubs yeah exactly, and its just really inconvenient to pick all of them up
it makes sense for when you get hit because its supposed to be a punishment, but getting rings from a monitor is supposed to be convenient
i really dont think its a good idea, it just makes it a chore if you want to get all of the rings from a monitor
and if youre not interested in doing that because you literally have to stop and run around to catch the rings, then youll probably only pick up one or two rings from that monitor
which as you said, defeats the purpose
correct if you would to run this game on there it would explode like the monitors in this game
Goodness gracious, this is so clean. We need more Sonic games just like this, the scenery is just great.
I love that you can go in and out of a spin attack after bouncing off a spring and wal jump, these are all things I always wished you could do in the main 2D games

Well, this certainly looks gorgeous, to be sure, but what about it makes it an "online" game?
I mean, it's IN the name.
I get that's a silly thing to ask, it's just that none of the footage gave off the implication that it's an online game- it just looked like a standard, albeit really good looking, Sonic fangame.

absolutely no commentary interupting the beautiful music. the nice thing he does scouting each and every corner but not in a repetative form. i dunno who you are, but you are the definition of a comfort youtuber.
The music, voiceless gameplay, the visuals and the fact that I woke up at 4 AM today and I'm very tired, makes this look like I'm dreaming, like this would go on for hours, with the same music, until I wake up.
Replacing the score with a level system. That is actually a really clever idea
ok i thought it was gonna be a below average game because of the reused sonic mania intro but the seconds the gameplay showed up i was so surprised it looked this good, if someone from the future showed me this and said this was the next sonic game after frontiers i would believe them
Gotta love the passion and effort put into these fan games.

This is the best sonic fangame ive seen this year, but I know its probably gonna get canned in a few months or weeks

Not many people are noticing that due to the classic Sonic 1 design being used, but the amount of custom made contextual animation in this game is out of this world! Even Mania didn't do something on this level
I have to say this game looks REALLY nice! There's a lot of interesting game mechanics like the wall jump, skipping across the water when you roll. I also love how Ecco just seems to be a background character that does impact gameplay with his own gameplay elements like gems from his game. One thing I do not like at all is how the rings scatter from a TV after you break it causing you to have to go chasing after them like you've been hit. I love the concept of having a boss fight in the special stage, it's got the same energy as how Knuckles Chaotix turned the level selector into the Metal Sonic boss fight.
I gave this a play myself and it was pretty fun for what it was. I really enjoyed the water skipping I think it's a natural inclusion that would actually make the official games more fun. Also loved all the cameos from classic vidya characters, it was pretty adorable.

Oh my goodness. This game is so creative, and bright. The quality is amazing. It retains everything that made sonic charming and endearing, while adding graphical techniques that pull sonic into the modern era without losing its 16-bit DNA. Can we also just stop and appreciate the amazing music! The soundtrack is so fitting and relaxing, while still encouraging the player to progress through the level.
i love the entire landscape and and the sprite work! Act's 1 and 2 are gorgeous. Nice work!

This looks amazing, I always wanted a proper online experience in Sonic games (apart from the kart racing games and stuff like that)
There was a fangame called Sonic network land but it's kinda dead now

Oh and the sunny day with the buildings, that are clearly from an image that's set at night time, is a bit odd.
I'm not sure but i think they are from Streets of Rage which is mostly during nighttime i guess

My main gripe is the physics's being pretty weird, like the spindash & the peel-out barely give you any speed while running normally feels like you have speed shoes at all times
That's without mentioning that the level design doesn't allow sonic to go fast, there's too many enemies and water on the main path
However, give it some work, and it can become a great fan game
The part I like is the water the fact sonic has his reflection on it and it has the same movement as him in just perfectly done ✅

Dang. If I had to describe this zone, I'd say it's "Rehydrating". Just something about it seems so fresh.
Though I will admit they kinda went a little bit crazy on the enemy placement.
This looks dope, my only complaint is I was watching this and as soon as I got up to schmove and was really jamming, the song loop abruptly ended before restarting in stage 1 :(

sonic robo blast 2 exists it was created in freaking 1998 and it got multiplayer somewhere in the 2000s-2010s

Btw when srb2 got multiplayer in 2010, 2 years later sonic and all stars racing transformed came also had the multiplayer mode.

It's a remake of a Kaori Kobayashi music called "Airflow". She inspired by "Rock with you" from Michael Jackson

the camera needs to be a bit more zoomed out; perhaps it could even have adaptive zoom, where you'd see things slightly further away the faster you were going

I thought for a second this used some of my Sonic 1 sprite edits. Because the walk looked familiar. Turns out they're not
the walking smoothed sprites are selfmade, the low speed running sprites comes from sonic mania but with sonic cd palette. If your sprites are used you can see your name in end credits. If you are not in end credits it means your sprites aren't used in the game.
Finally sonic can wall jump 🙏

Probably an unpopular opinion, but this one level showcase feels more like a Genesis / Saturn era Sonic level than any of the bespoke Sonic Mania levels.

This game looks amazing, I like how it looks. My only problem are the ring monitors, they don't seem very practical, looks cool, but not something I'd considering nabbing as you only get one ring as the others phase through terrain at a speed that isn't possible to get when standing. It does make it so you don't have a clutch, but it's just how I personally think about them.
I like how the sonic franchise has gone from dying, to living, back to dying, then straight back to living again.
