Absolutely love mine and 💯 agree best rtr micro crawler out. Also like to point out that was out of the box, no bumper, and no adjustments to suspension. Great Video 😎
I absolutely love mine. I got the blue with flames. Just running it side by side with my scx24 with little to no upgrades on it and just had a blast with them both at the park. Any time you can make memories its completely worth it
100% for the price, quality….what brand does also have an RTR complete with brushless system that will cost you another proper micro crawler rtr?… Hope FMS do the same. Fairrc have both brands, so maybe soon. I hope so 👍😁👍
Really enjoyed that outtro music, Phil. Also bought a bunch of tickets right after nearly ordering that crawler from Furitek. Damn, that was a close one.
I think it's a bit high, but acceptable price for what you get. I was going to get one of these, but I'd rather mod the crap out of the 2 I already have and make them just as capable. Plus you get the added satisfaction of making it your own. The chassis is really nice on the wagon though.
I’m a Traxxas fan boy as you would say. But i am open to other brands. I just have a Traxxas dealer near me with everything available. I find it silly with a stock TRX4m you have to put low gears in and a better servo out of the box to make it controllable. If you get the bronco, tires are a must as well. After those upgrades though it does pretty good.
The power wagon bodies look best when they're antiqued a bit. First off I'd spray the whole thing with satin krylon then rough up the inside and put some darker rust red at key wear points.
Mine died in 5 minutes of driving. Motor smoked and locked up the esc. The latest firmware fixed the esc, but I'm still waiting on my replacement motor
5:00 My table saw has a motor like that. No matter how much pressure you put on the blade the motor will remain at a constant rpm to maintain cutting efficiency. That's why you have to make sure you have a circuit rated for 40 amps otherwise if you're pushing through 1" thick maple you can pop a breaker. I forget what it's called now, Inductive motor? something like that.
Maaaan! And friend and I were looking at these at the hobby shop just yesterday and we were seriously tempted but we ended up going down the scx24 route but after seeing this… we may have to go back 😂 Trx4M, SCX24 and one of these? Seems like a good fleet
Looks pretty amazing for an RTR, and as a starting point for a build. The Furitek stuff is pretty mint, I have a couple of Furitek combos that I run, and I love them. Next time you do a course build, you should mix some paint in with the plaster. That way it will still look like rock if it chips or wears. I have done that with great results. If you're using grout or something like that, you can still mix in some color, and keep the course looking nice and tidy even with some wear.
My fury wagon ran for 5 minutes then the esc burnt out taking the motor with it , that was on the 28th September, I'm still waiting for the replacement esc coming, the replacement motor was delivered a week after not much good with out the esc , it's pot luck if you get a good truck or a junk truck , I'm done with furitek after this , the truck was a birthday present for my 58th birthday from my lovely wife and kids .
@@joshfowler197 ups have been sending me emails sinc Tuesday telling me it will be delivered that day , I'm still waiting , new email is saying next Wednesday, I am really fed up with it now , I hope the new firm wear is a fix do you know what number it is so I can update it that's if this esc ever gets here lol , stay safe guys 🇬🇧
I disagree about the bearings, they're always better than bushings, back when panda hobby come out I put bearings all through that rig and it made a world of difference.
Nice little truck, pretty sure the body is from the FTX mini texan, on the Out runner the can and centre shaft rotate, its the mounting plate that is fixed
Nice battle. Not surprised the winner is Furitek, though it wears the ugliest body of all times.😄 Any scratches, on the FCX18 body, after so many falls ? I'd like to know if its paint is strong enough to crawl with...
I'm surprised they don't come with a furitek transmitter. Sweet little crawler though.. Rlaarlo has dropped the ball. I went to order the desert truggy and a bunch of spare parts. Still hasn't shipped after 2.5 weeks. I emailed them and they finally responded after another week. They emailed me back saying the items shipped but their ignorant new workers forgot to put the tracking numbers on the website. Then I asked for the tracking numbers and they went MIA silent again for another 5 days so far. I got one tracking number that didn't work or was fake. Such a bummer. I wanted to get the new dual motor 1/10 scale speed car but it looks like I won't bother and just get a hobao instead. I purchased through your link not sure if it's an affiliate link, hoping it was. Horizon is no better. I ordered my Promoto mx in June when pre-orders first started and still have not got it while many others already have. Amain has 100s of pre-orders and Horizon has left them in the dark with no ETA and they are pissed about it when I went there to race my 1/8 buggy. Anyway, rant over. lol
Yeah kinda sad for the hobby if you think about it, that they just started to put brushless motors in small scale crawlers... also would be cool if you could make a comparison on the same platform beetween brushed and brushless which would perform better.... good video by the way 👍
It's my understanding that only recently have brushless motors become good for crawling. They're more efficient than brushed, but much harder to control at low speeds. Usually you need a motor and ESC with sensors to pull it off, which is significantly more expensive. If you just want a basher or racer it doesn't matter, but for crawling, slow control is critical. It's only the last couple years that the sensorless control systems have come out, I think.
Nie litter crawler, not my cup of tea, more of the bigger stuff for me. TRX4 is my favorite type of crawler, and my Summit is just as good to crawl with, mine is now brushless and does 50mph, and is awesome to crawl as well.
1/18 is not MICRO it’s MINI, I own many 1/18 Losi mini rock crawlers & 1/24 micro crawlers. I love the variety but 1/18 & 1/24 are different, mini & micro are different. We need them all, we need more of them but we need to be better at distinguishing 1/24 from 1/18 & crawlers vs very capable scalers. Same as 1/10 with big bodies & bumpers they’re SCALERS, If it has bumpers that get hung up & over hanging bodies that catch on rocks, those aren’t good for crawling they look good & realistic being “to scale” hence it’s a scaler. EG., a 1/24 Axial Bronco is a scaler & a 1/24 Axial AX24 is a crawler. Im glad to see the hardcore crawler style come back in full force but for a few years the crawler name became synonymous with scalers like they’re interchangeable & they’re not. Same with mini & micro, I love them all btw!
The furitek cayman pro looks so much better than that thing and it comes brushless, with oil filled shocks, carbon fiber chassis, upgraded servos, and it runs the fms fcx24 axles so over/under driving them is a breeze. Its a little pricey, but its definitely cheaper than building something like it. I WOULD LOVE TO KNOW WHAT YOU THINK OF IT. Ball's in your court now
Having built up a killer scx24 based unit, that cayman pro is definitely a deal and a half. I spent well over twice the price building my scx24, and it's still not as well sorted as that furitek unit
I will not support Tony. He makes the motor plates, it's a cheap rebrand of a Chinese esc with sketchy Bluetooth and a cheap outrunner helicopter motor. He will not stand behind it either.

I spent a lot more than this putting a furitek motor, esc, and gearbox in an SCX.
