Hi!! I have a brush that I created using your video. I love the texture of the brush I found, but want to change the color. I'm having trouble - nobody's tutorials seem to solve the issue. Is this something that can't be changed because it was originally an image that we turned into a brush? Thanks in advance!!
Hey! Katherine U can use the recolor artwork tool to change the color of ur image. Just select your vector and click on recolor artwork tool. You can find it in color guide from windows panel.
So once the image is rastersized and added to the brushes toolbox will it stay there forever like when I open a new document and open my brushes will the brushstrokes be there with the same color and everything or do we have to do this every time we make a new document ?
I try to make a watercolor brush following your auto but I took 2 png from the web to create a watercolor brush and after having rasterized there is not white in background like your exemple but transparent grey square that appear when a draw with my new brush ? do you dissociate your brush before add it in the brushes windows ??
Hie @Nadia Borie Make sure you are working with the version of Illustrator CC only. Otherwise, you can refer to my video ua-cam.com/video/ZVZQtzMX64c/v-deo.html & follow alternative steps. I hope it works for you :)
I am using CS6 illustrator when I go to illustrator with the watercolor stroke with transparent-png. I follow your steps in illustrator to rasterize and then go to the brush panel I get a message saying: the artwork contains an element that cannot be used in an art brush. I can't figure out what I am doing wrong. thank you
Hey Learning mother ! **This tutorial works with versions of Illustrator CC only** I realized it after the video was already uploaded. So sorry for the inconvenience.
@@DiceofDesign Okay, that is what I thought was probably the issue. :( I wish there was a disk form of cc and not subscription. The only other way is image trace to use as the next step but you lose the natural look of the stroke. Thank you for the prompt response.
