- Full build of the Tamiya 1/48 Mustang III model kit, in RAF colours with D-Day invasion stripes. This is a fairly old model kit (1996), but the fit is absolutely excellent, as you would expect from Tamiya. The kit includes decals for four versions, including one natural metal finish version.

Thanks for posting i just bought this kit and i enjoyed watching you build yours ! well done ,i hope mine turns out as good !
Thanks. Good luck with the build!
You did the camouflage free hand wel done !
Thanks
Realy enjoyed watching you build this model. Cracking Job.
Thanks Craig - much appreciated. Especially given it is one of my earlier videos and a bit 'rough around the edges'!
I build models too and I am new to the hobby. I also like ww2 aircraft. I build a lot of star wars vehicles.
Two of my favourite subjects. I'm guessing you've tried some of the Bandai kits - excellent engineering and details on those.
Yes the Bandai kits are pretty cool. I have been building models from scratch. Using cardboard and buts of kit I have. Some have turned out ok. Really liked the music you used for your model builds.
Nice.. :) i like that model.. Built a Polish one.. And ordered deals for another (US, with a yellow nose.. ^^ )
Good choice! Have fun!
A great kit from Tamiya , well done with your build!
Thanks. Yep, an older kit but a good one!
Wonderful
Thank you! Cheers!
Very nice work!
Thank you, much appreciated :)
The endresult is great! On your next model you could try a marble coat or highlights on the camo colors, it's really hard but it'll make your model stand out much more
Thanks Konrad. Yes, the marble coat is something I've been meaning to try. Maybe on the 109 I have lined up...
Hi.
They are "water slide decals" - they are designed to be put in water for a few seconds to loosen them from the backing paper. Then they slide on and stick :)
@@ModelNerd Teşekkür ederim. Kolay gelsin.
So was this one of Alison or Packard powered Mustangs ?
Hi. This version was "Merlin powered" (Packard licensed). The RAF Mustang III was the equivalent of the P-51B/C.
@@ModelNerd Thank you.
Cool but why didn't you finish the german medical tank first?
Because I didn't feel like it. But at the time of posting this they've both been finished for almost a year...
Mustang PK-G (Polish pilot Horbaczewski) never had a painted mouth. In addition, it had a Malcolm Hood cabin cover.
Hi. Yes, you're right. I knew this when I was building the aircraft but I decided to go for the mouth just because I liked the way it looked :)
Mustang from 315 POLISH FIGHTER SQUADRON (PK G) with shark mouth from 112 RAF?????? What a..... (wrong)!!!!!!
Mate, it's just a model and it was one of my first. I liked the decals so I used them. What does it matter?
@@ModelNerd Mate! NO COMMENT!!!!
