North American P-51B | Don Beerbower's Mustang | Model Aircraft #7

Don M. Beerbower considered his P-51B to be the greatest fighter plane he had flown. He loved it so much, he opted to stay flying P-51Bs even after the D model was released owing to its lighter weight and greater maneuverability. Beerbower went on to become a fighter ace, tragically dying in a similar way to Hans-Joachim Marseille as he bailed out and struck the tail of his P-51. He left a wife and daughter, the latter of which his plane was named after (Bonnie B).
Join us as Maksim Goyna builds Beerbower's beautiful Mustang. He will build a 1/48 Accurate Miniatures P-51. We feel plastic modeling is far better than how to paper airplane. : ) If you never have tried building, give it a try some time. Odds are you won't go back to paper airplanes anytime soon.
You will notice that this isn't a regular P-51B. This Mustang has some modifications such as a Malcolm hood and a tail fillet.
