So lucky both me and my husband are highly sensitive people. We don't have autism or other conditions related to sensory issues, but we are both extra sensitive to light, sound, scents, stimulation, itchy clothes, emotion, etc. we understand each other and make our home very calming space. It's very likely our children will be the same way, so I'm glad there is more information about it now.
My baby boy is so sensitive and so am I. My parents always told me to stop being a baby and I never understood why I was like that. I'm so thankful we know now what this is. He's the sweetest kindest human ever. He's my favorite person and I support him just the way he is.
Thank you for this. It’s definitely hard to parent my son who is highly sensitive but so rewarding. His memory at three years old is astounding and he’s so creative and sweet
Mam i remember myslef being an hsp 1.Just make sure u r keeping a track of his school system. I was bullied tht really damaged my emotions nd i eventually began to sturr 2 plz do teach him the coping strategies. Being an hsp having so many emotions at a greater extensity can result in life long wounds. 3. Teach him how to meditate. This helps a lot to understand a situation nd then work throughlh with emotions....
@@plyme thank you for responding. I really appreciate the tips. I worry a lot about him in school, even now in preschool. My husband and I try to focus on meditation at least 4 times a week but I never thought about introducing it to our kids this early on. I will look into resources for kids meditation. Thank you again!
@@plyme The understanding part can be complicated, sometimes if h.s.c are feeling wounded in some cases, they won't communicate it & expect almost mind reading to understand what they're feeling and even lash out at those that are close to them creating new conflicts, & the deep wound gets buried, & since they can take the smallest slight to heart if care providers become angry with them, it reinforces the bottling up of what's eating at them. Having or building a relationship of honesty & communication is most important, & reinforced understanding through patience & compassion, because it's wise to remember the more upset or angry could mean the more something is deeply troubling them.
yes my son is really definitely empathetic and he is very self-aware. yes i know that i am a raising a great child. i have been close with a lot of healthcare professional and working in the field as a caregiver. I can really sense when he isn't feel his best. this is great news. i love being able to know my child well. -Hien
Im a highly sensitive dad and my daughter is highly sensitive... Sometimes I feel that being highly sensitive myself is an added difficulty because her feelings can overwhelm me, which makes me deviste from gentle parenting... :/
I came looking for this information because one of my twins is highly sensitive and I just want to make sure I’m doing everything in my power to guide and raise her the best way possible and give her the tools she needs to navigate life and the world. Thank you for this content!!
I hate the word sensitive. Has such a negetive conotation. The word she be "attuned" or "perceptive". Deep thinkers, self-aware, intelligent, creative, thoughtful. Sensitive implies a subtle weakness, that one can't handle the world. Highly sensitive people and children are the most Genuine!
I am a HSP which I think is a good thing. I have said that being an HSP is like watching a movie in an IMAX movie theater. It is like living life in high definition which has pros and cons. We feel everything more intensely: joy, sadness, anger, etc. Also, we can feel other peoples emotions. I can tell who is toxic and who is not by the energy they give off.
Hi, I was always fairly highly sensitive as a child, and now I'm highly sensitive as an adult. Unfortunately, I am also on the autism spectrum (very little delay in or loss of verbal communication or cognitive skills), which I was diagnosed with as a toddler or very young child, back in the '90s. Sadly, if you are highly sensitive, girl/woman, AND on the autism spectrum, you might be seen as 'mean,' when you're really not. At least, I'm not. This did not help when I was 8 or 9 and starting puberty, and beginning to focus more on fashion. For as long as I can remember, I have always LOVED all things cutesy and girly, and would have preferred a cute, stylish sundress to a baggy shirt and jeans or biker shorts any day. I would have preferred digging in the glitter over digging in the dirt.
I think the symptoms between girl and boy children should be distinguished as highly sensitive children, especially girls, will be less likely to "lash out" in the same way because they've picked up on social cues girls are given from an early age particularly if they're coming from a conservative household.
Please be careful with raising a HCC. Don't raise them to believe that everyone and everything must bend to their emotions. If you cater too much, you will raise a narcissistic personality type.
lol what you’re talking about? Both personalities are not compatible. A narcissistic is unable to overthink or feel. If you’re too permissive with your child you’ll damage their resilience and tolerance to frustration but not narcisismo. So much bullshit 😒
Same omg this lady is spot on!! I was in Tears cause this really gave me a perspective I never understood why my daughter sometimes acted how she did but this makes so much sense ! ❤
Why are the people white but there is a black child for the main thing. Is there any way you are supporting minorities with these challenges? That would be great. Okay second brown kid. Okay. Would love feedback about how your channel supports. Thanks
My oldest was very sensitive too, it took a lot of effort of “De-snowflaking”. He is finally acting like a normal kid now. I started with “ This is how you become a man not a toddler”, and goes on to “ You will get a crap woman if you act this way”, and “ You see that family? You will have that far ugly wife and devil kids if you are not a man”. Anti snowflake and anti wokeism helped.

Same. I can relate so much. Its a blessing and a burdon
Wish people wouldn't put acronyms to everything
Me. Thankful finally abling to help rather the yrs of abuse so many have endured or turn into those bad adults.
Does anyone talk about how to survive parenting an HSC?
Good question

Yes, then the parent hits them and says, I'll give you something to cry about. At least mine sure did. LONG time ago.
Best quickest medicine
Damn im that kind of parent..
but without the hitting i just start yelling at her to shh it Fuc.. Im just tired i will stop doing that
I'm that child and my life was horrible as child my parents would neglect me as I'm a middle child I got bullied 😔 several time 🥺
This is what I’m like

Very informative
Very informative, thank you!
This is me and my daughter
How does one raise a kid with a heightened sensitivity to supernatural presences? Cause I was that kid now I have that sensitivity as an adult
I was an orchid child and my parents ignored it all along.
So how you manage?
I’m the parent, who is struggling at 3:24am with my HSP son, only because he suddenly remembered his Venus flytrap plant he’ve forgotten for months.
I think that children need to toughen up. I was a sensitive child and was yelled at, bullied, and mocked. It worked, now I’m not sensitive at all.
How does an HSC differ from a child that has a SPD?
You have none og them, your just entitled and think is cool to have a label. Your completely A4 normal.
@@BEhistoricStudios actually no. It’s a legitimate question. Do you have a real answer?
I really would like to know if a HCC can be acting angry and spoiled and why is that is it because he is HCC ?
No son pura bondad pueden tener esos comoortamientos, pero te recomiendo averiguar el origen
Please be careful with raising a HCC. Don't raise them to believe that everyone and everything must bend to their emotions. If you cater too much, you will raise a narcissistic personality type.

Kids should not he exposed to tablets and phones below the age of 7 .
