My dude, you are one of the few, if not the ONLY one, who links the original story in the description. I kid you not, I've seen many UA-camrs purposefully leave out the name and link of the original story just for that extra edge, and it always bothered me to no avail.

The image of the octopus in space reminds me of the Lovecraftian monsters of old . I love these stories and listen to them while working or on long drives.

The prose was flowery and descriptive- very Lovecraftean- and there were concepts here that were really great... but the story was just far too nebulous and the protagonists intricately detailed internal monologue made it very difficult to grasp sequences of events, their true significance and how each experience interconnected, obscuring the actual arch of the story overall. As a reader/listener it’s sometimes preferable to leave certain aspects of a story to be open to interpretation- but when most events as well as the characters and base storyline do this, it ends up feeling more like a long, eerie poem than a well constructed story. Very beautiful in its description though, and extremely well narrated, I appreciated the attempt, regardless.

This guy really does talk to much. At times I found myself zoning out as what he says isn't really important or insightful. Just feels like he is talking just to talk.

Normally I have creepypasta stuff playing while I am doing something else, but I had to stop what I was doing to really be able to appreciate the mental images this was evoking. Absolutely beautifully written, wonderfully read and the sound design was stellar. One of my favorites all around!

Holy crap! Another insane story. You’re absolutely insane at putting emotion into your stories. Like wow I’m blown away by this one. I really wasn’t sure what I’d think until the end but then bam you killed it. Great work as always!!!
Holy hell man. That is one genius piece of Mythos, written in a style that old HP himself would have listened to and thought. 'When did I write that then?' I am so pleased to see that the genre is in such safe hands as this author.
Then the narration, oh man. It doesn't matter how hard someone practice's, it will never stack up to natural talent and you good Sir have more natural vocal and emotional talent than any other Narrator I have heard of full stop. I am so pleased that I found your channel. There are heaps of great people doing awesome work, and then there is you setting the gold standard. Your understanding, empathy for what is required is sublime.
On top of that you list the author as well. I'm a big (Cuthulu big) fan of the Mythos, between the beautiful writing and your narration and sound work I was completely blown away to the point that I started hitting the pause button so I could savour each sentence at one point.

listening to Mr Creeps for a couple years. You got him beat when it comes to vocal sound effects and noise effects, very cool. I’ve tried out a few other channels only to be disappointed but you do this very well. Your the first one other than Mr Creeps I will listen too. I look forward to listening to many of your stories (I listen to 3-5 of these each night before I fall asleep).
I listened to like 5-7 of your stories last night and loved them. Especially the Angels Arnt Beautiful and The Old Horns. Very cool stuff. ❤️😎🤙
My only suggestion would be increase the volume a bit when you do the vocal effects, its kinda hard to hear from my phone speaker in comparison to the rest of your vocals.

My major thought in the beginning was that this man needed the Infinity Stones. The "I will shred this universe down to the last atom" line was stuck in my head.
Later though, I think this dude just needed a fucking break.

This is already a game. It's mildly reminiscent of Dead Space. The brethren moon being the brooding star.
@@phant0mwolf421 Huge Dead Space fan and yes I can see what you mean. But this is pure H P Lovecraft Cuthulu Mythos, that Dead Space borrowed heavily from. The language can be hard to read as it was written so long ago, but if you enjoy reading I would definetly recommend it. Oh and yeah man, Love the name, Phantom Wolf, saweeet as man!

This channel is so amazing! The only critique I have is that you really should normalize the volume of the different voices :/ In this one the narration is a lot louder than the voice of the characters

The prose in this story are utterly sublime, but the plot is difficult to follow the story is so drenched in poetic abstraction. I absolutely adore this story- err- long ass poem all the same, it feels like someone tripping on acid blew their brains out onto a page and it spelled out the essence of cosmic horror, of humanity's honest to god last generation standing on the cusp of quiet, frozen extinction, of any number of interpretations of the narrator's helpless descent into a true immortal suffering.
Even though, by the end of it, I have no fucking clue what happened, the imagery and flow of this story are incredible, to say nothing of your as-usual spectacular narration. Its incredibly well written, and even though every word of it feels open to interpretation somehow, leaving the purpose of the world kind of questionable, it really feels unjust to fault it for that. In short, i just really like the vibes. Everytime I listen to it I get more out of it. I listened to it a long time ago and had no clue what happened, and just thought "purple (pun intended) prose and frozen planet with confusing ending" but something about how utterly massive and helpless it all feels, how much the narrator is carried by events so fsr beyond merely "out of his control" and the ideas it creates, and the imagery, I'm spazzing out about this story but it really is one of my favorites I've ever read and this was probably the best narration of it I've heard by far, your music and voice and sound design lend themselves incredibly well to the eerie solitude and unnatural wrongness of everything this story encapsulates. 10/10 ez pz

Awesome story!! Loved it, only thing it had to many commercials I like to listen while I try to go to sleep and every few minutes have to skip 2-3 commercials kinda makes it hard to follow, besides that it's a great story.
To be fair, that's a UA-cam thing rather than the channel preference.

The volume difference between the narration and the son and dad talking in the beginning is way too much. Without headphones, I have to up the volume really high to understand, then when the narration begins again, it's loud enough to hurt my ears.
I wish the 2nd voice was a little bit louder or had some captions.

I love your narration. I love the emotion and feeling you put behind every story you read, the work to create an ambiance fitting whatever you want the listener to feel. I just wish authors would focus more on making good stories rather than try to copy the flowery prose of Lovecraft.
Okay this is going to be my second time listening to this one again just after watching it through 1s. I didn't see comer sales and the mix I thought was great. Well like I said this is second time through . I read most all comments don't know if you changed something but I am listening for things. 2023 not one comsales I don't know what they are talking about there being to many.
I am listening to this with headphones and didn't have no problems with Adio voice recognition from one to the next was very different from one another. Another great episode Dark Somnium. Love the work you put into helping people and entertaining us great job once again. 8/00/2023

107k have viewed this one 693k subscriber's 4 years ago. I've been trying to get a count of viewed and not viewed as much so to help you be able to see what the algorithm might be doing or not doing.
With what I read from comments I don't think all your videos are getting to all subscribers. Hope this might help, you truly deserve a lot more viewers. I know if they see a new or old one in this case older story. That moor would have watched them. I have seen other stores get into 100+k views don't know why older story's have fewer viewers. Just now getting put on don't know. Like to see the views mach or close to mach your subscribers. JDP Underhill 2023
A good story, and excellent narration, but it's hard to listen to. I keep having to turn the audio up for the quieter parts, then turn it back down very quickly because then the louder parts hurt my ears. Other than that, though, I loved it.
