      While studying in most countries will require handing over an often-hefty tuition fee, Finland has somehow managed to keep university education entirely state-funded - even for international students.
      Primary schooling begins the year the student turns seven years old and is provided at no cost to the pupil.

    The thing with our Finnish president is that he sees himself as equal as anyother finn and is not above anyone. Care about everybody else. This was really seen a few years ago when he travelled from Finland he was in economy class on the aircraft reading a newspaper or when he went on a for him interesting event at a auditorium and the seats were full so he saw that and sat down in the staircase and was 100% fine with that and didnt want to disturb anyone or when he was as a president shoveling snow from his own home and journalists photographed him and basicly told them that its fun to do these normal things. Theres alot of high rank people that can learn from him!

    During the Winter War a Soviet general hears someone shouting from the woods - "One Finnish soldier is better than ten Soviet". Angry, the general sends ten man to deal with annoying Fin. After a brief period of shots and dying Soviet's screams, comes another shout - "One Finnish soldier is better than one hundred Soviet". So the general sends one hundred soldiers and again none of them comes back. Then the general hears a third shout - "One Finnish soldier is better than a thousand Soviets". Furious, the general sends a thousand men to deal with him. Soon a great battle is heard from the woods, then a silence, then the panicked voice of the last surviving Soviet, "Don't send any more troops, it's a trap...there's two of them!"

    • @londop.a.3048
      @londop.a.3048 10 місяців тому +2

      Actually, the Soviets and the Hitler were friends before 1941, they even developed tanks together on Soviet soil (Rapallo agreement). In August 23, 1939, Stalin and Hitler reached an agreement known as the Molotov-Ribbentrop Pact. Hitler and Stalin divided the countries of Europe among themselves like best friends. Germany invaded Poland on September 17, 1939 and Soviets and Germany held a joint victory parade on September 22.

    I am Finnish-Canadian, but have grown up in Canada my whole life. However, I have been to Finland many times, and he is what all Finns are like. I call them icemen. Reserved and straight to the point. In Finland there is very little smalltalk, they call it bullshit-talk and hate to dance around a subject with an obvious answer. Like if you said to someone "The weather's so shit today" they would just respond yes or no, that's it. If you spend an evening talking to a friend you will learn everything about them in that one instance. It is very difficult to lie to them because once you use too many words, they see the dishonesty or hesitation in your answer. There is a saying in Finland that kind of reflects the way they speak, "Talk is silver, but silence is gold."

      @@jeannotschumacher1024 A joke in Finland was that the 2 meter social distancing requirement for COVID meant people were going to have to get closer together. For real though in US/CA though there were a lot of people who doubted whether COVID was even real, whereas in Finland that pretty much wasn't the case at all, everyone thought it was a real thing, some people were just hesitant to get the vaccine for health reasons and because it was rushed out the door.

      @Karol Che US supported Hussein and didn't lose its membership. I don't see the problem, practically speaking. Sweden and Finland are not known for corruption and their legal processes work quite well. Ukraine on the other hand is consider one of the most corrupt nations on the earth and the legal system is so broken people believe there is no actual legal system. And this is a country the EU and NATO want as a member state? This is a joke. There is no short cut to cleaning up your country of the bandits first and protecting your people against domestic harms.
