I’ve folded them 3 times pre, admittedly one time was an incorrect fold. But facing a 6-bet from Andrew of all people would definitely qualify for an easy fold of kings.
I don’t think I’ve ever folded them, but I did just call a raise suspecting aces once (I was right)…. And then proceeded to flop quads lol, and even better, somehow they still felt aces were the nuts with two kings out there and jammed turn
I have (against Nit players 6 betting) and it kinda was, not by a lot ofc it’s hype asf to fold KK that deep stacked in a cash game and be right. But Neeme doesn’t mess around at all and with that many BBs, it’s almost expected for a player of Doug’s calibre to fold that at least sometimes.
Folding Kings pre is hard to do. Probably the wrong move till it gets to atleast a 4bet though. Have folded Aces and Kings post flop though, would have a hard time ever folding Kings pre though.
It's well played by BB. Alex is doing thing that aren't things. Its such a bad turn card for his range that he has to basically fold EVERYTHING. And he goes for raise??
The 6-bet with AA after postering just SCREAMED AA... better to go all-in... Doug possibly would have called to see 2 boards... So many more hands are just shoving there than 6-betting... A-Xs nit can shove, JJ, QQ, AK, AQ, yet O of those hands 6 bets for less than all-in there..
If I was betting the equivalent of expensive cars in a single hand you can bet your ass that I'd be taking my time too, and screw what anyone else would think
@@Logicsupersedes I appreciate you bringing up the differences in the action-it's clear there's a lot to unpack in both situations. However, it would be more helpful if we focus on explaining those differences rather than being dismissive. We’re all here to learn and discuss the game, so let's keep the conversation respectful and informative.
I have never folded Kings preflop. I think he cares more about the additional $20k +++ that was about to get torched on the classic cooler. But the best lay down I ever saw was Polk laying down a straight V bigger Helmouth Straight. Fucking Legend of the game!!!
Dodgy AF. How are you calling with Q high there? Your opponent can easily win with any K or A, low pocket pair, dodgy J or 9. Lucky 6. Pretty much everything. That's one of the dodgiest calls I've ever seen. I'd stand up and leave the table in a cash game if I saw that.
@@andrewjack31Players would tend to check with an A or K, hope Doug's on a draw and that it gets checked down. So Q high beats most bluffs. Not saying it's necessarily a great call, but it's not suspicious like some other hands.
Foxen likely would have attacked Doug's Blind preflop and raised if he had king high or better so Doug has reason to believe his hand is best before flop and by the river Foxen is repping a 6 or full house only by overbetting the pot as he wont play a Jack this way so it's quite a polarizing play he either has it or doesn't. The reason why he is playing 75 is because there is antes making the pot much bigger at the start and that setting the scenario for this situation, Foxen is getting a good price to call in the small blind with any two cards basically and then probably figures Doug would have a hard time calling with a Jack against his play but didn't work. Because of the bloated pot at the start this gives Foxen the merit to play any two cards and Doug would know this ofc. Certain boards are better for making hero calls like this one with paired board, it's more common for them to not have anything in spots like that. If the board had run out AKx in Dougs spot he could have figured this to be a good board as well to hero call as if you already had the best hand with a queen then the high cards are good for you!
Was this game streamed live at the time? Asking because it seems fishy, queen high call? Does he have a knocker hidden in his shoes telling him to call meanwhile somewhere is buddy is watching the game live?
doug is an amazing player, sb limp vs bb after checking flop betting turn and then the ultra polarized river bet when the obvious semi bluffs don't make it. It looks crazy but if you really think about foxen's range, its not too crazy to call but it is definitely impressive to actually do it.
That hand with the AA,KK, and QQ was interesting. In that spot I know its best to take it down likely but I might try to play a huge one since you are almost surely up against KK or QQ.
I’m just surprised that the commentator doesn’t understand that AK is a bluff in this spot. Like how can AK be value of your opponents TT are indifferent?
I don’t care how much money a guy walks around with, nice clothes he buys, car he drives, or gold diggers he bangs… 6:03 The GEEK will always expose himself in the end.
I’m watching live I don’t know how the hand ends yet but that min raise by Alex on the turn was a terrible bet🤣 compared to the size of the pot and how much he tanked that was so exploitable. Lit that money on fire.
4:58 "He's got to put it in" - Why does the commentator who knows very little about poker make bad comments? 6-bet was a blunder. There is no 6-bet range.
Just dumb with 10's. Either you are a coin flip or you are dominated. 4 betting was stupid. With 10s you call and hope to flop a set or at least not see any over cards.
After looking at who made the first raise, I'd say it was effectively a 3-bet with TT, not a 4-bet, which was fine. Nobody made any big mistakes in that hand.
Tanking for 1 hour then 5-betting with Aces pisses me of, was literally about to throw up watching him acting. No AK or lower pairs would ever do this. Snap all in is the right play.
Tanking to stare at stack sizes and then min-clicking it instead of jamming looked SUPER strong. I think he was strategizing on sizing and not acting- his intent looked clear to me
The first raise was from a wild player who raises anything, so the 4-bet was effectively a 3-bet with TT, as only the second raise showed strength. That's a reasonable move in this game. Nobody made any big mistakes in that hand.

Doug is clearly cheating with the queen high hand. You can't know you're good there, not even remotely capable of knowing queen high is good. King high, ace high, any pocket pair, jack, 4, etc.
With 180+ bb already in the pot, it's time to try and take it down/eliminate as many opponents as possible to maximize equity/winning chances. I would have gone all in--there's a small chance someone might call, thinking I'm overplaying something a tad weaker. It's rare to win 180+ BB with any starting hand.
I bet that all the people in the comments saying Doug was too happy for folding his kings, have never folded kings in their lives.
I’ve folded them 3 times pre, admittedly one time was an incorrect fold. But facing a 6-bet from Andrew of all people would definitely qualify for an easy fold of kings.

If the person that entered at 15:25 was carrying a weapon, wouldn't it make more sense to wand them BEFORE they entered the high limit room?
I think they are more worried about cheating devices than weapons.

Its an easy call with AA to enduce Doug to go all-in
These commentaries make the videos. I hope they are getting what they're worth, because so many places try and fail because of commentators.
17:08 so was his reasoning he didn't raise preflop and he bet the turn so he probably had a draw? I can't figure out how he called.

I'm not entirely sure, but I think Alex thought they were playing the nit game.

Calling Q-high (soul read?) almost as good as calling all-in with J-high (J-4).
