    I really enjoy the gyeon product line.great video as usual!im glad you mentioned the importance of maintaining a coated vehicle.i have clients that think the cars coated so no care is needed for a year or two...just run it thru the car wash!maintaining the coating properly not only keeps the car looking stellar but it will also get a little longer life out of the coating.👍

    Thank you Todd, I've come to highly regard your expert know-how. I still have a question about this product: is there something in the formula that differentiates it from all the other silica sprays out there specifically in terms of its ability to boost the longevity of the base coating? I'm wondering whether I could top Gyeon One with a more durable silica spray of my choosing and still extend the lifespan to a comparable degree.

    • @Esotericdetail
      @Esotericdetail  2 роки тому +1

      Each coating maintenance product is going to vary a bit in terms of durability. But having said that, it also depends on how often you wash your car and how often you want / like to apply your maintenance product. For instance, if a maintenance coating by itself claims to last 6 months, nobody is going to wait 6 months between applications. If you like to regularly maintain your coating, then find one that you simply like or is easy to use because you'll most likely be applying it more often than you need to, and therefore the durability isn't nearly as much of a factor.

    • @andrewvickers4487
      @andrewvickers4487 2 роки тому

      @@Esotericdetail Thank you very much for your helpful reply! I totally get your point re durability. Can I take it then that any decent silica spray (topper or standalone sealant) should boost the longevity of the base coating about as well as Cure does?

  • @JasonSmith-ki6xl
    @JasonSmith-ki6xl 2 роки тому

    I love using gyeon products and definitely use Cure after I coat vehicles with Mohs Evo. I like diluting cure 50/50 like you mentioned in the video. One area that I struggle with is having small fibers come off my mf towels. This is highly visible on dark paints like black. I've tried using a variety of towels for cure removal and still deal with this issue. What towel do you recommend for a dry application after a coating? I've used trc's ftw, pearl and gauntlet. I'm careful with my mf towel washing and wash them separate in cool water, with rags to riches and dry on low heat along with making sure the lint trap is clean.

    • @Esotericdetail
      @Esotericdetail  2 роки тому +1

      Lint can be troublesome at times for sure. I'd do a comparison with both short and long nap towels to see if one gives you better results than the other...that would be our troubleshooting process if we ran into that situation on our shop.

Just spray on clean wet car and hose off. Note. These coatings don't clean. If you're car looks like crap before it will still look like crap after. If you're going to go through the time and effort of paint correction then go for gyeon q2 one. Easy to use for beginners with no experience in applying ceramic coating.
