@Curtis..... pretty much all of the original music used on the show was licensed music from various classic Japanese films and TV series. The main theme song they used was an excerpt from Hans Zimmers score for the film "Backdraft". I imagine the cost to keep all that music in must've been astronomical which is a damn shame because the generic synthwave shit FilmRise replaced it with is almost unforgivably bad 😂
One of the BEST Battles ever... and the French Team's final Presentation was Incredible... Altho I feel the French Team was way too Good against China. C'mon, Sakai, a former challenge Winner and Inabe against Chen and 2 outsiders?? They should've had the Szechuan Challenge Winner come help Chen's team. Oh well. But Chen's Team should be proud of themselves. And I bet the hidden egg was given on purpose to Kishi. :D Loved that Kuriomoto finally got to do commentating, he's one of the most Articulate, Thoughtful Judges-- so I'm glad they had him Comment for once. Thank you for this.
The OG iron chef show. Doesn't get any better than this!
Sad that the two youngest Iron Chefs were the first to pass away.
It is, but I’m not at all shocked to see the two old dogs still going.
😢😢😢
I always feel a sense of warmth hearing the original score to this show and not the odd FilmRise dub over
Yeah what's up with that? Are the rights of the original score not included with the show itself?
@Curtis..... It came from a movie about firefighters
@@HandlebarOrionX ahh that makes sense. That’s ashame cause those dub tracks are not it lol

Oh nooooo!!! I had no idea!!!😢
I didn't know that he passed away. Rest In Peace Iron Chef Chinese Chen Kenichi.
Yeah. March 2023 of interstitial lung disease at the age of 67. I was crying a lot that day.
They're using "Klendathu Drop" to introduce the French Dream Team!

"And they're going against the, uh, Chinese musketeers..."
LOL

Yeah it is a great battle. Both teams did fantastic!
I Love this battle!! I can keep watching this all day.
and Fukui-san finally got to taste the dishes as well
Fukui-san was great as a judge here! So funny, he should have judged more often.
Ai Waki Ai Chef Because you've become friends with Kenichi Chen, and now, Ai Waki has inherited the second generation.
At 53:30, that Chinese music was so awesome. Anyone can tell me the name of that song? Greatly appreciated, thanks!
Late reply, but I recognized it immediately, it's "The Middle Way" by Ryuichi Sakamoto, it's part of Little Buddha's OST!
I remembered this.
List of music used in this video please?
Show Me Your Fire Truck from Backdraft. That’s all I’ve got 😅
They used Hans Zimmer's soundtrack from all his movies throughout the show. Which made Iron Chef what it is.
I think I recognized Kendau Drop from Starship Troopers when the French team was introduced
Batman: The Animated Movie - Mask of the Phantasm (1993)
I thought he said spinesorts and bananas
Pork, Bananas, Softshell Turtle...... Mmmmm......
Tonight we dine on turtle soup
