Fun fact. My dad (Kris Schumacher) and I were the people who ran this bowling center back in 2015-2017ish. I believe after we closed it stayed closed until the owner auctioned it off about 2 years ago. Fun video its nice to see the old bowling center again but sad to see it worn down.
Good luck to the new owner. Hope they are a big success. That was nice of the owner to let you bowl. Kris, you were surprisingly smooth from the left side. It would be fun to see you guys put together an OPPOSITE side tournament for charity. Fun, fun video to watch. Nice win Packy. Good luck to you both on tour!!!
Dude, the center is open now, and it's BEAUTIFUL. It's got all 1959 refurbished Brunswick Gold Crown lane equipment (except for the SYNC scoring), the wood lanes were refinished, the house balls are the new BGC house balls, and if that's not enough to convince you, it's where I shot my high score of 278. I LOVE it.
@@NateCraven318 Do you have a website for this alley. Love to see it today. I grew up in a 10 lane house in the early 70's. Started working there when I was 13 chasing pins and retrieving stuck balls. I pretty much lived there for a couple of years. Some of the best days of my life were there.

This is so awesome. I bowled at Holiday Bowl for 40 plus years. I spent so much time in that building. Makes me so happy to hear about the renovation, can't wait to see it!!!
A center near me just closed its doors two days ago, so it's nice to see one that's being renovated instead of torn down or repurposed. I love these "challenge" videos that you guys do.
Entertaining video. Always enjoy watching Packy bowl against someone else, especially another House member. You'll win a PBA tour title soon, Packy. :)
Next challenge can be trying Duckpin or Candlepin bowling at northeast US or Canada. The lanes are the same 60 feet long. On Duckpin the pins are smaller and wider and balls are small with no holes. In Candlepin the pins are thinner and taller. The ball is even smaller with no holes. There's no oil plus you have to aim at the pins. The approach is needed for giving force and spin to the small ball. If you make it at Duckpin or Candlepin, you can easily win a PBA tour on Ten Pin bowling. Thanks for the video.
Those red pins bring back good memories. When I was a kid, we used to go rent a lane from 9-1. At 1:00 they started red pin bowling and we would always bowl a game or two. A free game for a strike with the red head pin. Good times.
We had that for years. Now every sunday we do casino bowling. 4 colored pins and if you get a strike depending on the position of the pins you can win $1 up to $25. It has to be a head pin and like a color pin in 1 2 and 3 pays 10 bucks and a color pin down 1,3,6,10 is 25 bucks. also known as colorama bowling. Split conversions pay money too as well as a 4 bagger gets you a free spin on a wheel to win prizes. Lots of fun.
My local alley is the alley in Hutchinson,ks. We used to have countryside lanes until it closed. I like the old style bowling alleys though. They have that nostalgic bowling alley smell to them
I would love to see the flat screens come down and someone find the old school projectors... Most retro I have bowled here in OK is the other one in Shawnee (Shawnee Bowl) where they still have tube TVs hanging up. Very awesome feel to bowl there.
I saw the name Holiday Bowl, and thought it might've been the abandoned Holiday Bowl in Hayward California lol. But knowing you don't really bowl out here, I'm not surprised it isn't lol.
I have a question. How does an abandoned bowling center exist in the first place, and secondly, the equipment still works AND there's still power AND heating in the building? Loved the video ! I'm just confused about how this building exists?!
He clearly stated in english it had been purchased in the last year and is being renovated into a vintage retro bowling alley. I find it funny the people that need to comment but do not watch the entire video!
Ideas for a video: 1. "wrong foot" approach game. So righties land on right foot and lefties on left. 2. One step approach..each bowler can only make ONE step to foul line 3. "Low score" bowling. Get as few pins as possible, but gutters count as strikes
At 6:25 Packy says, "score update 47 in the third to 17." Packy had a 60 in the third. He got a 7 spare, then a strike, which puts first frame at 20, then a 9 spare, second frame at 40, then a strike, third frame is 60. How did he get 47?
Great video, once again! Packy seems to have dominance at these challenges with Kris! Well, all Kris really has to do is say $850k in lifetime earnings, and you???? For the win! Can't wait for the next challenge...

@UnderdogErick If I remember correctly there was a pivot point with a small threaded bolt with a wing nut on it to tighten the part that moved around. That said, that could have damaged the lane or ball return is my thinking??? Not sure for sure!!
