1. After dropping my Rotring 600 a couple times directly on the point, I switched to a Tombow with a cap. I also like that it is the same shape as a fountain pen. 0.9mm 4b. 2. I quit writing in books with pencils due to the smearing, which also eliminated ballpoints. Currently using an EF fountain pen, looking for the ultimate dry ink to eliminate the bleeding. Maybe a rollerball or gel or fiber pen would be a better choice?
I know a lot of people use the Sakura Micron for marking up books but I've never tried one. I started using pencils and have stuck with that because fountain pens and rollerball ink spreads so bad if the paper's not good and I'm just not fond of ballpoints. 😀
The MB looks nice. Apparently the internal parts on .5 & .7 mm will break at that exact point. Whether they are old or new. The .9mm has a more robust mechanism but they are really expensive.
I also have a MB pencil that has a crack. The problem is you have to twist the cap to advance the lead. The crack causes my cap to just spin so the lead will not advance. It seems that there was an engineering flaw in the design.
I didn't know anything about this pencil when I bought it (I came across it by accident at an antique shop). When I took it apart I was really surprised to find plastic inside considering how nice the outside is. Thanks for the info about your experience.
I'm not going to try to sell anything until after the pen show. I would recommend signing up for the email notifications on Jet Pens or Yosekka Stationery. Jet Pens may not carry the purple, but Yosekka does. That's where I got mine. 😀

@@gadgetstop321 And they come in RED! I'll give one a try, thanks.

That's good to know. I was kind of surprised by how flimsy the internal of the pencil is compared to how nice the exterior is. Thanks for the info!

I've wanted a Kurutoga Dive forever and purple is my jam...Would you be interested in selling it before the show?
