Many years ago on Entertainment Tonight, they were doing a retrospective on classic TV shows. Vets from Vietnam who would visit the NY Broadcadt Museum (I think it's called The Paley Center)and of all the thousands of episides available for viewing, the highest number of requests was for the final episode of The Fugitive because many of them were reporting for service that day: August 27th 1967. (Sorry if I have the wrong day). But I remember watching the final episode and wishing it wouldn't end. This was Janssen's defining and best role!
Originally telecast on December 14, 1965. Dick Wesson, who was also Walt Disney's announcer on his Sunday night "WONDERFUL WORLD OF COLOR", is the show's announcer (including the sponsor I.D.). Brown & Williamson Tobacco [Viceroy] was one of the show's primary sponsors...
The guest stars in tonight's story, Earl Holliman. Colin Wilcox. Also Starring Barry Morse as Lieutenant Phillip Gerard. Tonight's Episode: "THE GOOD GUYS, AND THE BAD GUYS"!
Overall the products of Proctor and Gamble were the lead sponsor of The Fugitive. The Viceroy Cigarette brand and Allstate Insurance were other regular sponsors.
You're comparing apples to "onions" You talking about prescription medications used to treat medical conditions and comparing them to something that's more on the level of street drugs and used for no good purpose.

love this! wish the DVDs had left this in. I feel commercials left in help build tension. Thanks for posting!
Why, oh why didn't Paramount include OC's on the Most Wanted DVD sets? They are SO cool! Paramount did a fanTASTIC job on their Bonanza DVDs.

“I want them to know what kind of man they’re dealing with.”
“Meaning you or Richard Kimble!”
(Gerard shoots a wry grin)
“Perhaps both.”
Glad Dr. Kimble got vindicated.

Never fun to kiss a woman with cigarette breath!
But it doesn't bother you to kiss a man with the same affliction?
