Well done. When Girard gave him the gun. What a moment. I saw that moment first aired on August 29th, 1967 as a 15 year old and the chill that went through me. Girard finally believed him.
@@jasonsterling4129 If you read anything about him, it was the consensus of those that did know him. Had one wife and cared for her for years when she had Parkinson's disease.
What a tremendous compilation! Really concisely captures (no pun intended) Gerard's slow evolution over the four seasons, down to challenging Johnson in the finale.
Michael Daly Nightmare at Northoak was one of the best episodes of the Fugitive, because the conversation they have when Kimble was locked up gave the t.v. audience what they've been waiting to hear!!!!!
@@scottmiller6495 Girard said many times to people that Kimble helped, that it didn't matter to him if Richard was guilty or innocent. The LAW said he's guilty, I'm just doing my duty .
Probably the best drama series of all time. Barry Morse as Gerard was absolutely brilliant. There is an episode where Kimble finds a witness to the one armed man running from his house, and is going to turn himself in. But the prosecution finds a flaw in the character in the witness, and Gerard allows the defence lawyer to know this, even though he didnt have to. In effect he was tipping Kimble off not to turn himself in. The character of Gerard did evolve and his attitude to Kimble softened and his doubts about Kimble's guilt subtly changed and evolved.
Darn, you left out the best line from "The Evil Men Do" - Gerard differentiates between Arthur Brame and Kimble - "One was a killer....the other one, Kimble, he's done the one murder he'd probably ever do," but stated with little conviction that Kimble in fact ever killed anyone - the great dynamic of the series (the respect between Kimble and Gerard and the doubts that gnaw at Gerard) illustrated
Many times in this series there were hints and moments when Girard had his doubts about Kimball, to the point of almost believing him. Of course in the final two episodes he does finally believe him!!!!!

One of the best television shows ever !

A phenomenal actor, and a kind and decent man.
Phenomenal yes, but as far as kind and decent, are you speaking from personal experience?

It was very atypical to see such character evolution in a TV show at the time. But, The Fugitive was an atypical TV show.
My Favorite TV series use to be shown in Karachi Pakistan in the year 1970 , when i was 5 year old .
You have summed up the entire series in less than five minutes. Very well done. Thank you for posting your excellent video.
Superb show and really well acted with plenty of drama!!!!!
You literally see Gerard go from certain, to absolute doubt of Kimble's guilt as the series unfolds!

Terrific.
"Your nightmare is, when I'm dead you'll find him."

From, Gerard?"

.
Because deep inside Girard thought that Kimble might have been innocent!!!!!

Note Gerard’s comment in The Evil Men Do - he comes close to conceding Kimble’s innocence

TRIAL BY FIRE
I liked how he was really British and faked the accent .
@@josephforest7605 And did an excellent job!
Well that and Kimble saved Gerard's life 4 times throughout the series.
Wow! Terrific compilation! Kudos to David Alan Hall! Really enjoyed this!
THANK YOU! Wonderfully done!
Look at the young and upcoming Kurt Russell at 1:59.
Please, please upload all episodes of this series.
Thanks a lot

Tuesday, September 5th...the day the running STOPPED.
It stopped August 29th, 1967 in the USA
Love this show. I was shocked tho when I learned Barry Morse was an English man. His American accent is very good.
Same here I didn't know he was british I thought he was a real American
He is Canadian!
I think he held several passports. He was born in London

I left the line out on purpose for the sake of showing a greater range of change in Gerard, which is the whole point of the package. :-)

At least the original series got a conclusion. I was also one of the few fans of the 2000 version as well, which sadly got canceled on a cliffhanger.
I enjoyed that reboot also, on its own merits. There will never be another David Janssen, but Tim Daly gave a very credible performance as Dr. Kimble.
did he like donuts sprinkled with chocolate?
