You can be a murderer and not believe in capital punishment. They're not conflicting. The justice system is designed to enact punishments and the main premise of those punishments is deterring people from committing those crimes in the future. Capital punishment has been proven time and time again to NOT deter crimes because obviously, in cases like this, being put to death isnt a consideration during the crime. It's almost always enacted with the idea of killing themselves, or being so enraged that the thought of consequence isnt considered, plus psychopaths aren't acting on the idea of punishment and are acting on impulse. She wasn't acting out justice when she murdered someone, she wasn't justified. she wasn't within her rights, and she didn't have the support of the society she exists in. The same reason why her murder is wrong is the same exact reason why capital punishment is wrong. it solves...nothing. its cruel, it doesn't deter anyone from murdering anyone and its hypocritical. you dont prove stealing is bad by stealing from the theif. For all those who say the interviewer lacked tact, diplomacy and respectful professional composure with his formidable line of enquiry - He knew he was up against a sadistic psychopath with expert manipulative skills. He did what he had to do to let the monster reveal a little of itself. You can be a murderer and not believe in capital punishment. They're not conflicting. The justice system is designed to enact punishments and the main premise of those punishments is deterring people from committing those crimes in the future. Capital punishment has been proven time and time again to NOT deter crimes because obviously, in cases like this, being put to death isnt a consideration during the crime. It's almost always enacted with the idea of killing themselves, or being so enraged that the thought of consequence isnt considered, plus psychopaths aren't acting on the idea of punishment and are acting on impulse.
She wasn't acting out justice when she murdered someone, she wasn't justified. she wasn't within her rights, and she didn't have the support of the society she exists in. The same reason why her murder is wrong is the same exact reason why capital punishment is wrong. it solves...nothing. its cruel, it doesn't deter anyone from murdering anyone and its hypocritical.
you dont prove stealing is bad by stealing from the theif. You don't teach someone rape is bad by raping them. why is it then that our justice system thinks killing someone is appropriate for a killer? because we're basing it on an old outdated practice of justice where we didnt have the resources to keep these people alive in cells, we didn't have resources available to rehabilitate. so its was easier to just kill them and no one cared if they died or not, its an outdated punishment.

The interviewer was smug, self-righteous and incredibly combative. There's a difference between being a tough interviewer and being a downright arrogant, condescending asshole. He was the latter, and he should not be interviewing anyone. These interviews with people like murderers and child molesters could really help us, so we can help those that are heading down that path BEFORE there are more victims. For all those who say the interviewer lacked tact, diplomacy and respectful professional composure with his formidable line of enquiry - He knew he was up against a sadistic psychopath with expert manipulative skills. He did what he had to do to let the monster reveal a little of itself. It wasn’t a pretty interview but it was skilfully and brilliantly conducted and made for an insightful interview of a being with a heart of darkness.

I have never understood nor will i ever agree on how society applauds and encourages men's behaviour on taking women for a ride, to "sweettalk" and deceive women into a future together when his only true intention is to obtain sex . Travis not only dumped her, but played on her emotions and sure thought it was funny to beg her to marry him when his sole intention was none other than to manipulate her into giving him sex. Note that this was a woman who loved him, albeit to a point of obsession. As if this was not bad enough, he degraded and insulted her on his way out by proclaiming he wanted to marry a decent church girl instead. He cheated on her with many other women while they were dating exclusively and when she decided she wanted to do the same and play the field he flew into a rage and branded her whore.
Now, imagine if the roles were reversed? If a woman had pretended to be in love and claimed she was seeking to be in it for the long run with a man truly deeply in love with her, yet refuses to give ANY sex or intimacy but continuously digs into his cash. She ends up not only dumping him but he finds out she had actually cheated on him with other men all these while. And on her way out she mocks, insults and degrades his character, that he is stupid fool and a useless good for nothing . If he flips and murder this woman society would now be leaning towards the opinion that this "golddigger" was asking for it.
This is why i find it unfair that credit for sex scam are made a crime .
