Can't speak highly enough about your cinematic style, I'm a huge fan Alvin! Your channel is a big inspo for the flight reviews I do as well! Always enjoy when you upload, so keep it up!
Re 20:33. We found the same on our flight back from Singapore earlier this month. It is sad! Not even offered some water mid flight. Even when I signaled the crew, she turned away from me while holding the water bottle.
Awesome video. It sounded annoying about the lavatory problem because you'd paid higher so premium economy class passengers should have a separated cabin. Btw, the meals were tasty and the seat was comfortable. That's all I need for a long-haul flight
Air Canada...the best I can say is that it does the job in delivering you safely from point A to point B. The rest? Uninspiring at best. Add in the pricey tickets (definitely not value for money), cold (or just downright rude) staff and bland food, then its really not my first choice. For the HK-Vancouver route, Cathay is most certainly the better choice, and this is despite them still struggling with some lingering effects of the pandemic shut down and being short-staffed. The seat is better, the food is better and you won't get the "service with a snarl" like with Air Canada.
I often fly between SEA and HKG and Air Canada is definitely one of the cheapest options with a connection in Vancouver but they’re just so rude that I’d prefer a different carrier anyway
@@markcorneliuslau Lack of domestic competition in the Canada air travel market, means there is little incentive for AC to improve service. They have a "take it or leave it" mentality.
I flew Vancouver -Bangkok Premium Economy and it is the same disappointment, when I saw the sandwiches in the video I remember how dry and dreadful they were on my flight. I prefer a different carrier for my next trip to Asia.
Thanks for another beautifully presented video Alvin. Air Canada PE looks to have its positives and negatives. I did my first-ever Air Canada flight this year, from YYZ to SFO in business class on the A220-300. Really enjoyable flight experience save for the catering which was dreadful!
What was sleeping like? I’m 6’2” so always interested in more leg room. When Premium on Air Canada, Swiss Air and British Air Ottawa to South Africa return. Still battled to get any sleep.
I’ve now watched about a dozen reviews of AC premium economy and not a single person has mentioned if they were able to get comfortable enough to get some sleep - the only reason I would upgrade.
I'm planning to fly to the Philippine in a premium economy seat. I will probably will take AC 787 flight due to it's 2-3-2 configuration. I was on a Delta preminum economy with my wife and forget to reserved seats. They put us on the middle of the 4 seats in 2-4-2 seats. We tried to get it change but they already assigned all the seats. It was a hell experience as I have bladder problem.
Nice review, eh? My one trip to HKG in 2018 was in Premium Economy on AA DFW-HKG return. It was only a US $300 fare delta from Y ($1,300 vs $1,000), so a no-brainer. Curious what the difference was for your flight. Personally, I prefer the old AC livery to the current one. The black tail looks meh. Finally, it was odd seeing a seatmate that's not Peterson!! 😂😂
This flight was part of some Air Canada promo, so I got it at $1700 CAD, YVR - NRT - FUK - HKG - YVR. Haha I was traveling with my parents this time around!
Air Canada needs to improve the presentation of the second meal it serves in Premium Economy on their long haul flights. For the first meal, they used real cutlery, plates etc that are consistent with their domestic business class (narrow body) product while for the second meal, they simply served a regular Economy meal. They should at least serve both meals using real cutlery and plates.

Air Canada? All I can say is they like to do things THEIR way, HA HA ! With only three rows in Prem Econ they still manage to run out of a meal selection by the last row, that is just bad management and don't give a damn attitude at their WORST. And this is a problem that has existed for several years based on vlogs I've seen going back at least 10 years. I guess lack of any Canadian competition is a big factor. My colleague who has lived in Toronto tells me Canadians don't like to make a big fuss over things, that must be the reason why Air Canada continues to get away with Everything for so long 😆 😆
Your flight reviews are gorgeous--my favorite on youtube. Thanks for taking such care with them, Alvin.
Thank you so much for your support Susi!

Thank you so much!! I’ll check out your flight reports too!
Good review as always. Your voice is calming. 😌
I’m an AC fan and have had nothing but good flights with them in PE class.
Thanks a lot! :)
You’re a rare exception.
Wow cool review! I like the detail you put
Thanks so much!!

Yeah it’s unfortunately quite a contrast with what you’d experience on an airline like JAL, ANA or EVA with much better service and hospitality.
Great report ! Thanks so much for your wonderful content !!
Thank you for your support Kevin!

Stunning videography as per usual. Thank you. 😊
It turns out this was the exact aircraft I flew 3 years ago when I immigrated from HK to CA
I was in first class 😊

Oh hands down I would pick Cathay over Air Canada any day! Unfortunately its much harder to get a good price on Cathay than on Air Canada.

Thank you Pierre! Hope you enjoyed flying the A220, I love flying that!
Beautiful scenery as always❤
Makes the flight that much more interesting!

Thank you! I used a Sony a7iv and an iPhone 15 pro max
Hey, excellent review and quality. Do you mind sharing what camera you were using for this video ?
Thanks! I was using a mix of the Sony a7iv and the iPhone 15 pro max

Oh no… those are the worst seats :( sorry about that!
I Fly A Lot Premium Economy Whit Skyteam Airlines.Great Trip Report And Info
Thank you!
I took AC PY YVR-NRT years ago on the way to Singapore, it was decent since I didn't need to sleep on the flight
It's definitely a decent option, pretty good for the YVR-NRT route as it's just around 8 hours. Last time I flew back from NRT I also flew AC PY.
I’m with you. Chilli Oil is essential. ❤️
Next time I need to bring my own, haha.
Next video: Korean Air new business class suite on their 781 to Seoul😉
Hopefully I can try that soon!

Hard or rough landing?
those pretzels are to die for lol
So addicting!
its a shame their 777 PY config is 2-4-2. my usual routes are almost always on a 777. great review though
Yeah, when I flew from YVR - NRT it was on the 777 with the 2-4-2 config unfortunately. The bins were much smaller too.
How much extras did you pay compared to economy class ????~~~~~~~~
This flight was part of a $1700 promotion, YVR - NRT - FUK - HKG - YVR.

Extra $ to choose seat even booked in main cabin. Air Canada lost me on this.
not for PE!
You tubers are obsessed with mentioned the registration number of the airplane, and used the word livery lol
Premium Economy on flight to Europe was not great, breakfast was crap
premium economy is a waste of money unless you are tall like 6ft+. your ass will still hurt with this little extra space.

I believe no girl can say no to kislux âs bags.
Air Canada Premium economy class is horrible ,it has no leg support ,worse than other airline premium economy,
Yeah it would have been better if there was some leg extension on the seat!
Exactly, no leg support. Agree 💯
Service terrible.
doesn't look any different from economy on most airlines
