    Hi my son absolutely loves your channel! He will come home every day from school turn on his computer see if you guys posted a video. If you did he will tell me all about it he sometimes he even rewatches a vidio sence he has seen them all. I also find your enjoyment for collectibles awesome, your pop hunts and reviews and everything else nerdy. I really hope that you continue do what you love no matter what. Me and my son also have to thank you for not only your amazing content that we adore so much, but also your custom pops. My son and I both love the Simpsons and he just like you channel has watched every Simpsons episode (at least twice.) So naturally for my sons birthday party we got him the zombie Homer and the zombie Bart. Let me just say they are amazing. They sit right above our tv with the other simpsons pops and my son has stared at those pops for hours. He loves them so much! we only have 6 pops we absolutely love those pops and everything nerdy. We would love to see more simpsons costumes in the future!!!
    Thanks, Will & Little Alex

    I absolutely loved the finished product! It looks awesome. Just one thing though; it would have been more helpful if you showed us how you managed to get the clay so smooth and how you put it on the pop. Perhaps you could make a video about another pop and show us how you sculpted the clay and painted it to look that good. Also, the process of making the figure sketch for the box and the box itself in more detail. All in all, it looks dope! Well done!!! Love and support from Greece!

    after seeing your previous videos on custom pops (penguin, smallville, braveheart, etc), I've been waiting to see a video like this, Thank you! My question is how to do you change the plastic holder on the inside of the box to fit the shape of your new pop?

    • @melissinha73
      @melissinha73 2 роки тому

      My guess is that he reused the plastic holder that the custom pop came with. Because not much was added to the head it probably fit pretty well and the arms look like they’re secured but the hands look free to hold the guns.

    1. What sort of paper or way of printing do you use for your boxes?
    2. How do you make/get your design decals?
    I would love to know!

    With the announcement meant of the Metallica series pops coming out in August, and they are making them look like the look they had in 1991-1993 ish. But they are selling the bassist that joined in 2003. It should be Jason Newstead. Obviously you make the price, but just tell me and I will have it. Would love to have him in the collection of Metallica Pops! Also I'm the same guy who messaged you on Facebook. Thank you and have a great day

    AWESOME WORK! Personally, I prefer to use Illustrator when I design customs. It gives you more control over every part of the character and the box.

    • @NerdTherapy
      @NerdTherapy  7 років тому

      Illustrator is great as well. I wouldn't say it gives you more control, it's just built with tools that make it more streamline. Ps can do everything that illustrator can do but you may have more steps and might fight it a bit. It really just depends on you preference and experience with the programs.

    • @jorgedontola092
      @jorgedontola092 7 років тому

      Yeah, you are right on that. I fight too much with photoshop and I suck on that program lol. Btw, I know how to make the boxes with the exact same materials as the ones from Funko. If you are interested on how to make them I'll gladly send you guys and inbox and show you. Just something I'll like to share, 'cause Ilove your channel.

    QUESTION: a friend is asking me this.
    If you buy an already made Pop and paint over it, basically creating a new character, do you know if you can sell it under "Custom Pop" or do you need to buy the actual Custom Pop figures in order to sell it on places like etsy?

    Is the a public download for the Photoshop file for making the figure for the box art? Or glam as you call it, i don't know if that's the actual technical term. Maybe even a box template if you got too.

    Love your videos, thanks so much for your behind the scenes how-to videos on customizing Pops! One question, in your previous tutorial, you mentioned prefering to use Apoxie Sculpt since Super Sculpey requires baking in oven and you didn't feel that was safe, and in this video you used SS and baked it. Is there a reason for switching? I'm trying to decide between Apoxie Sculpt, Magic Sculpt and Super Sculpey. Can't wait to get started, thanks for the inspiration!

    • @NerdTherapy
      @NerdTherapy  4 роки тому

      Yes after further use SS is completely safe. No worries there. It also is easier to work with because you can buy smoothing liquid to brush on the clay after use (gets finger prints and scrape marks out)
