It's also missing the V name stamp. But you can't just move the foil from one card to another as there are unique elements for each card's foil. The V stamp at the end of the name is holograhic with none of the rest of the name strip.

As someone who has collected Pokémon cards for about half of my life now, I have to give my thoughts and criticisms on these. First off, the artwork is fantastic. I remember when you designed Swichiru back in the day, so it's nice to see it make a comeback. As for my criticisms, the font on these cards look slightly off. The font is also a bit low quality, with a sort of blurry look to it. The cards look like they're a bit off in terms of the size. What I mean is that if you look at the final cards, the copyright info at the bottom is cut off on them, as well as a few cards having a bit too much border room on a side or two. (Notably the Swichiru at the very end) Soarash is supposed to be a V card, but it isn't glossy or holographic like the real deal. A VERY quick tell as to what EX, GX, V, and VMAX cards are fake is if they're matte, they're fake. As mentioned earlier, the font is off, very noticeably though is the HP number for Soarash. The font is clearly different, with it almost feeling a bit too thick and spaced out. The quality of the Jazza trainer card is too low. Not the actual drawing of course, (which I think is absolutely incredible) but rather the print quality of the image. You can very clearly make out the pixel outline around the trainer. The flavor text on Swichiru's card extends too far down, and it's biased to the right side. Real cards bias their text to the left side. My final criticism is the edge around Soarash. It's quite obvious these were cut out by hand due to the prominent white edge and ununiform corners on the card. I suggest buying a cheap automatic cutter like a Cricut. Now, with those out of the way, some things I thought you did well. All three cards have the same set symbol in the bottom left, which really helps unify them together. Having your own name as the illustrator is a nice little touch, and I'm surprised nobody noticed that the Jazza trainer card was also illustrated by Jazza. As mentioned earlier, the actual artwork for these cards is incredible. Jazza looks like a real trainer you'd see in game, Swichiru fits with a very specific style of card, the best example I can think of is a Hoppip card with a similar visual style, and Soarash really captures that Pokémon "dragon" vibe you'd get with Charizard and Rayquaza. As far as I can tell, you based your templates off cards from the same set too, which REALLY ties them together. It's good to see that you didn't go with a mixture of eras for each card, otherwise they'd feel much more out of place. All in all, I rate these cards a 7/10. I love the art, as stated, and I really love the overall concept of you making custom cards. I feel like printing them double sided with one side being the art and the other being the back, as well as using an automatic machine (like a Cricut) to cut them out cleanly would really help them look much sharper, as well as the aforementioned lower quality print on (pretty much only) the Jazza trainer card. Don't let this comment discourage you from doing something like this in the future. In fact, I honestly hope you KEEP making more of these. Hell, even branch out into custom Yu-Gi-Oh cards or Magic the Gathering cards. I look forward to seeing what you do in the future!
Wow. Its like an essay. You are an expert on it. I dont know about pokemon card as i am not a fan of it. And never bought one. So if you show me fake or real i will not be able to distinguish them. Maybe i will say that the real one has the glittery ones. And i think they have more layer for that glitter effect. But i dont really care about knowing the fake or the real ones 😅
I only collected cards for a few months, many years ago, but I'm an artist/designer so I also noticed the font, lack of resolution/print quality, weird edges, etc. I think I would have noticed the cards were fake, even though I don't even know the newest generation Pokemons! I'm glad somebody mentioned this in the comments. You have an artist's attention to detail 🙂👍
All Pokémon cards have a small text on them with the name or alias of the artist. I love going through my common cards and finding multiple with the same artist. It feels like I have a artists set
It’s too bad all the Vmax cards or the EX cards before sword and shield were always 3D models. I’m sure their artists could make amazing full art cards
@@ImplyDoods yes you’re right. I took a 3D modeling class and could not wrap my head around it at all. Should have considered that sorry. I just enjoy seeing all kinds of card art. Like the trainer full arts and way back when they did half cards, put two cards together to make an awesome 2 card artwork
Gonna go out on a limb here and say Swichiru's attack Switch, where it says "If this Pokémon is Confused, this *attach* does 100 more damage." is a typo. Other than that, I'd be none the wiser over whether these were legit.
I'd just like to comment that a year after this video, using his techniques I have made an absolute killing selling my cards. No one can stop me now, not you, not the people I scammed, not ebay, no one! HAHAHAHHA Crap the IRS found me. :(

Bro that was amazing. As someone who’s been collecting for over 14 years I can definitely say it I would’ve fallen for it at first glance however, it would’ve been so cool if you added a foil finish to the Soarash. Most EX’s aren’t playing cards they usually have a foil finish. Looks phenomenal though!!!!
Hey jazza, the easier way is using a foil card and a bit of acetone - it's a time honored way of making what the TCG community calls proxies without affecting the thickness or the texture of the paper
or just having really beautifully painted tokens and lands. Your local shop is never gonna care if your lands are hand painted. What I do find fascinating though is that if your say, MTG Spellcaster Mage is painted on the border its still no longer considered legal for competition... even if the text and original artwork is still visible. Cuz man... a custom painted Divining Top can be GORGEOUS.
The one problem with 'Soarash' thats bugging me, is that there isnt a 'EX' or 'GX' after its name which is what should be there if its a full-art card (other than that, epic)
my only problem with the Soarash, is that every V, EX, and GX card i have seen has been a Holo. Other then that, those look to be very believable and would certainty fool me.
I think the way the went was because it was a Vmax design they chose basic same as how you can get Vmax venusaur and it's labeled as basic. It's odd how Nintendo did the Vmax cards
God i hate people like you. Artists learned. You can learn it. This idiotic "I cant even draw a stick figure " is so annoying. Learn it then. Like we all did.
As kids we used to take some energy cards, rubb off the artwork with nailpolishremover and print new cards on top. They were off center and de-saturated ,but on the playground that was like creating gold. Still use this method today for proxys in casual play. This is on a hole other level though Jazza holy smokes
Those are incredibly well done! My only thing to point out would have to be that Soarash doesn't have the "V" next to his name at the top! I'm sure doing the holo-foil would've been pretty daunting of a task. Nicely done though man!
You realise he earns SO MUCH more money than Nintendo would ever pay him right? I don't think there's an on payroll artist in the world (at least in this medium) who earns anything even close to what Jazza earns lol
Aw, I was hoping you were going to send a set to Jaiden. They came out really cool! When we were kids, my brother and I made dragon cards loosely inspired by Pokemon cards. We came up with stats for them, drew and colored them, had lists of the characters and their alignment, backed the best ones with cool metallic paper Mom gave us... it was epic. I just came across them recently. Fond memories :)
On the Soarash "V'' or "V-MAX" you forgot the suffix so it just looks like a full or alt art instead but has the v rule, other than that awesome cards.
@@idk-ow1gt why does it matter how much likes a comment gets were not getting paid by how many likes we get to post our opinion But if we are like my comment or I'll kidnap your family :)
Real dang good. But there's just something about the art that's just kinda... off. Like the shapes are soft? And the lines are lot more organic than actual pokémon card art. Though they definitely wouldn't look out of place in the sun and moon anime. And the method for making the cards was amazing.
I love how obviously photoshopped the Pokémon Enthusiast UA-camrs segment was. Also I KNEW Jeremy wasn't actually a random person, and that was a hilarious bit!
The cards were made really realistically. The fact that it had the black in the middle, makes it all the more convincing. The people who know the cards will notice that Soarash misses the V in their title and it should be a Holographic card with a silver star. If you manage to do that, Nintendo will come after you. The Swichiru and Jazza trainer are the most realistic and its really awesome to view your process. Well done!!!
the reason why some pokemon cards look different in terms of artwork is because there are different illistrators who design multiple copies of one card, and with most artists, they each have a different art style.
@@itsgonnabeanaurfromme Try to draw the same gen 1 Pokemon in over 91 different ways in the same style and keep it interesting. It's better to get different artists to make every artwork special in their own way.

I didn’t end up reading the whole thing o-o
I only collected cards for a few months, many years ago, but I'm an artist/designer so I also noticed the font, lack of resolution/print quality, weird edges, etc. I think I would have noticed the cards were fake, even though I don't even know the newest generation Pokemons! I'm glad somebody mentioned this in the comments. You have an artist's attention to detail 🙂👍
A tip: the dragon card MUST be shiny and must have a ,,rubby" front (so like glitter)

doesn't have to be rubby (only full arts are like that) does have to shiny

Gonna go out on a limb here and say Swichiru's attack Switch, where it says "If this Pokémon is Confused, this *attach* does 100 more damage." is a typo. Other than that, I'd be none the wiser over whether these were legit.

The Soarash doesnt have vmax at the end of the name wither, even if its a vmax card
Yeah I wouldn’t have fallen for Soarash cause it didn’t say VMax lol
Needs fire icons for the moves as well but still cool

Hey jazza, the easier way is using a foil card and a bit of acetone - it's a time honored way of making what the TCG community calls proxies without affecting the thickness or the texture of the paper
or just having really beautifully painted tokens and lands. Your local shop is never gonna care if your lands are hand painted. What I do find fascinating though is that if your say, MTG Spellcaster Mage is painted on the border its still no longer considered legal for competition... even if the text and original artwork is still visible. Cuz man... a custom painted Divining Top can be GORGEOUS.

Jazza: forgets the V next to Soarash’s name

Aw, I was hoping you were going to send a set to Jaiden.
They came out really cool!
When we were kids, my brother and I made dragon cards loosely inspired by Pokemon cards. We came up with stats for them, drew and colored them, had lists of the characters and their alignment, backed the best ones with cool metallic paper Mom gave us... it was epic. I just came across them recently. Fond memories :)
On the Soarash "V'' or "V-MAX" you forgot the suffix so it just looks like a full or alt art instead but has the v rule, other than that awesome cards.
I was afraid how he would make the texture that all v-max pokemon have ngl

"Cards have wildly different styles" welcome to the world of TCGs xD
Imagine how he would do with trying out Pokemon Art Academy and then making the cards!
Real dang good. But there's just something about the art that's just kinda... off. Like the shapes are soft? And the lines are lot more organic than actual pokémon card art. Though they definitely wouldn't look out of place in the sun and moon anime. And the method for making the cards was amazing.
This is the longest lasting video of this type I've ever seen not get in trouble.
The “IM HERE TO SERVE” got me
I’ve been wanting to do something like this for a long time, but don’t have the resources or time to do so 😢
I love how obviously photoshopped the Pokémon Enthusiast UA-camrs segment was.
The Soarash should have a "V" at the end of its name. Great work though.
I know some card art is cropped from larger pieces so sometimes you'll find two or more different cards in the same style or sharing a background

the reason why some pokemon cards look different in terms of artwork is because there are different illistrators who design multiple copies of one card, and with most artists, they each have a different art style.
Because Pokemon has a very limited pool of characters: they need to give reprints of a card more variants
@@some_tiny_dragon7411that's totally not why

Try to draw the same gen 1 Pokemon in over 91 different ways in the same style and keep it interesting. It's better to get different artists to make every artwork special in their own way.
