But I usually use my fingers to pinch so I always have control over the amount of pressure I’m using. I do have a pinching tool, but I rarely use it. No matter if I use gel, acrylics or poly gel. I pinch all my nails when they have a certain length. Pinching was originally only for the contests so you get this extreme look. But through the years we found out that a perfect pinched nail is so much sturdier than a not pinched nail. The perfect pinch must show an exact half circle at the end of the barrel - of course for more modern forms like the Russian almond a half circle will never appear which lies in the for of the nail itself. Pinching with the nail form, as you showed it, is a nice way to begin. I would recommend it for all beginners. I always wondered about how flare nails were done, as the Long Island Medium used to wear. I never cared for the look, but wondered how they did it. Thanks!
I once used pre-pinched tips on myself (I'm a nail tech) and they actually caused my thumb nail to split. It was at the free edge but over time it split all the way to the cuticle area. It widened and for about 7 months I had a deep V in my thumb nail. There was hardly any nail on each side and I couldn't wear any product on that nail for a good year while it grew out.

I needed another set(backup). Thank you for the Awesome video and wonderful products! Stay safe my dear Friends ❤💋
My natural nails are quite curved, almost as intense as a pinched nail. They aren't flat. Often, if I get a gel or acrylic overlay, my nails hurt because the way the tech does it is like... Spreading that curve flat/wide.
Instructor rips nail off… Suzie- keeps smiling like the kind hearted woman she is as to not embarrass the instructor. She is so kind even when she gets hurt she doesn’t want to hurt others by freaking out.
Id be curious if certain degrees of pinching would look/work better or worse for different shapes vs another degree of pinching. Like does more of a pinch work better for certain shapes vs others.

Suzie I love your videos and I find them relaxing to watch.
Im learning a lot from you
Wanting to start doing my own nails. Your videos are so so helpful! Thankyou so much!
That is something I'd not realised or given thought to. Thank you. Hi from Oz. 👇💜🙃
Can you please do a video on cuticle care pushing back and removing stuff please
You make it look so effortlessly
Love love love the visuals with this video. Makes it so much easier to learn and see♡
Thanks so much, getting that pinched look is not so easy, this helps a lot!
For the black polish you should totally get One Coat Black from Simplynailogicals line it’s so good
I love your glasses 🤓
Awesome video my dear Friends!! I finally got to try out your forms and I absolutely love it!!❤ stuffed my other forms in the drawer for emergency only. I'm also loving your files and brush. I needed another set(backup). Thank you for the Awesome video and wonderful products! Stay safe my dear Friends ❤💋
I don't like the pinched look, but I still enjoyed watching your video ☺️
That was just what I was asking myself these days, thank you ❤️❤️❤️
Yes it would help to file the nail in a pinching goal.💅
10/10 love the glasses!
Thanks Susie!! I always had a feeling that incorrect pinching can cause the natural nail to separate from the nail bed
I like them both tbh
Brilliant, Suzi! Thank you!
My natural nails are quite curved, almost as intense as a pinched nail. They aren't flat. Often, if I get a gel or acrylic overlay, my nails hurt because the way the tech does it is like... Spreading that curve flat/wide.
Instructor rips nail off…
Suzie- keeps smiling like the kind hearted woman she is as to not embarrass the instructor.
She is so kind even when she gets hurt she doesn’t want to hurt others by freaking out.
Id be curious if certain degrees of pinching would look/work better or worse for different shapes vs another degree of pinching. Like does more of a pinch work better for certain shapes vs others.
She makes the best nail videos in the best quality and a really pleasent voice💯 thank you for that!
Compared to others with static hissing and crazy high squeaky voices 😵💫
I want some buttons forms so badly. They are adorable! Thanks for this video Suzie. I have flat nails and am too nervous to attempt pinching! I'm going to try this when I next do mine
Alot of people have flat nails and thats ok, pinching with a form is perfect for this type of nail
Suzie should sell packs of files like a pack of buffers, fine, medium, and corse 💜
I do sweetie! Check it out at nailcareer@me.com
