Yes yes yes !, dry cut is the miracle move. Everybody’s hair will lay straight wet.. be we don’t wear our hair wet!, soo it has to be looked at and cut with its natural cowlicks and directional move. Thank you.. I feel like a broken record saying this for 30 + yrs!! And I agree with all the comments ..you are very talented and give great practical tutoring .❤️❤️
I would fly out to you to get my haircut with you, I have very fine hair nervous about anybody cutting my hair. I've been a hair stylist for 25 years I really appreciate your work and these videos 🥰
Absolutely gorgeous! It is so difficult to find someone who knows how to cut hair like Summer. I personally have only found two people the big city I live in and one of them moved back to europe.
Now that is the cut I want and nobody seems to get it right!! My hair is slightly thicker. I could almost cut my own hair agter this wonderful video l9l!
Thank you so much! I have never liked having to go get my hair cut. I like to do it at home myself. This was so easy to follow. You are a blessing. Have a blessed day ❤
I love this haircut!! Last time I asked for a layered or slightly stacked bob the hairdresser did the front okay but I was horrified when she didn't even section the back hair and just used an electric razor and comb to trim the back on an angle. Was sooo uneven. Won't be going back there for sure! Will try to follow your method and do it myself! Thanks for sharing!
Hi......I'm confident enough now to cut my own hair. I watched the square cut I watched " Your layering wrong 👍. I waited for promo code on scissors & blade. I do I get a pair shipped to me 🤗
Beautiful! You are very talented.....this is supposed to be my haircut but my layers don't lay right at all. Unfortunately, I can't cut my own hair! I want to show your video to my stylist, but that might be a little offensive. :)
Girl, you can CUT SOME HAIR! 🎉 Every haircut is so pretty and I love watching your videos. I don’t work in a salon anymore, but I still kept my license. I give my mom short layers. Awesome refresher videos! One cut I cannot seem to find anywhere.. it came out around 2006.. it was a disconnected long cut. Shag on top but long sides. I use to wear my hair like this, but cannot find it anywhere to show my stylist what I want. Any thoughts?
Thank you for this Excellent Hair cut & Style Tutorial 💖 Cluld you Share the Brand of your Light weight Blow dryer that you have show in this Video/Tutorial...?? Thanks in advance.
I have sent this video to my hairdresser. I’m looking to layer my current bob and get face framing. I’ve gotten too long and I have a small face so looking very flat and drab. Hoping this cut will freshen up my look. I’m wondering if I keep it a little longer than this cut, will I still be able to pull it up into a pony for the gym and beach? I have watched at least 20 videos in 3 days. You explain everything so well. And I’m definitely going to try some of the products you recommend. Especially the Moroccan oil products.

I have a cut with a side part and my hair is much shorter and my hairstylist tries so hard but very inconsistent and drives me nuts. Wish you were in Northern Ca.
Hi Summer. How are you? My hair is similar but very thick. I cut it myself in a similar way but its volume increased. Wich haircut do you recommend me to decrease its volume, and how I should to be style it for reduce it? Thanks a lot.
Longer layer might be more ideal. The longer the layers the more it will naturally weigh your hair down. The right products also help, what do you use when styling?
@@StylesBySummer Thank a lot Summer for you answer. I apreciate it very much. To wash my hair I usually use extra acid shampoo (3.5 ph) and creamy hair masks. Then I use styling cream before drying (or heat protector) and some seeds oil to finish styling. I usually do my hair with the Revlon dryer brush to straight it out, or the iron. I can't use waves because my hair volume is increased (and I love waves 😭). I have natural silver hair (I'm 52) and I don't like having very long hair anymore. I prefer a layered medium haircut, but I don't know how cut it conveniently to me (U, V, or horizontal layers). Now I have a U medium layered haircut. Maybe a medium butterfly haircut would suit me better? What do you think? Sorry for my English.
4a/4b and some 4c hair and it is just above shoulder length. I want to have some layers in my hair so the curls are more defined and the cut is more stylish, will this work or is there anything you could direct me to. I don't go hairdressers no more as they always take waaaay too much off-not knowing how much it shrinks and it takes years to get length back. Thanks for any help :-)
I agree. As I am watching all of her videos I get angry . I find that there are a few hairdressers that really have the feeling and understands what a good hair cut is actually all about. I have not met a hairdresser like Summer.
I have got the same haircut tuesday. I had a picture for another haircut. She thought it looked the same. It was was 2 inches longer at the bottom. But ok it dont hate it i need to get used to it. My family a few then liked it even my husband liked it. But i need a lesson in styling it.
Summer do you cut hair in a salon? If so where are you located and what is the name of your Salon? I am willing to travel to see you if it's not too far. Plus I have friends in the United States I can always travel too if you are not too far away. I don't feel confident that I could do this myself. Definitely can't do the back on my own head. I love the way you cut hair in your videos. I can't find anyone in my area that knows how to cut long layered hair with side bangs. Thank you. Lil
Yes me also Lila, been looking for years for a hairdresser able to do this. Even been for cuts whilst on holiday abroad. Some of the best have been Turkish hairdressers, they seem to be trained to a higher standard (apart form our lovely Summer of course) I think they work the old fashioned way & start at bottom at a hairdressers then do a several year long apprenticeship.
Summer, You are great and best I’ve seen. Breaking it down so you understand…Do u cut for the public? I live in Texas and can’t find someone that really can cut my hair, it may also be that I don’t know how to communicate and speak the language that the profession understand. I know everyone has been taught and they have developed their style but you seem to have your technique down. Please let me know where u are. I’ve thought about carrying the video to someone, however I hear they may not appreciate that and mess up just because, and I know they are busy making money…after all it is as job. Time is money…🙂 Help!!!!!!!! Thanks and happy cutting.💈✂️ keep the videos coming….have a great day…🌹✂️✂️
Unfortunately I don't live in TX. I so hope you can find someone! I'm going to start trying to come up with a way to try and connect viewers with stylists...🤞 so I will keep you posted!
Why do you angle your cutting line on every section? I have a coworker who does the same and he doesnt know why he does it, he was just taught that way. I've been a stylist for many years and dont understand why. The finished shape of the layers would tend to get closer to the head form towards the top using this method. Is that the intention or is there another reason?
I love you're videos can you do a haircut and style of Vanessa hudgens high school musical 2 I love her bangs I dont know if she has layers I loveher hair behind the scenes of the movie and curled, also the length ❤
Wish you can cut my hair. That layer look nice. I like layer with volume. Unfortunately in my area very hard to get a good hairstylist who can cut nice layer hairstyle 😢. Anyway, can you tell me how to tell my hairstylist to cut like this? How to tell them? TQ
Hola empiezo a seguirte como peluquera aprendiz . I love this profession ! From España. Thank you for your time and your service. Mi inglés no es muy bueno.
This is a good demo to show it’s not how much is cut off, but the angle in which the hair is cut. Like a sculpture!
I would drive for hours to get a haircut from you, you do a great job cutting and styling.
Because of this awesome video I was able to cut my hair by myself!!! So easy to follow and i look super stylish!

Love your videos! Question; are hair products really necessary for a blow out?
If you want it to be protected from the heat, have volume or smoothness that lasts. Yes.
Beautiful haircut❤
