Asmon should consider creating some like edgy vtuber model for one of his streams and going like "yeah so, the vtuber process has been complete, it is what it is, let's not dwell on it too much, it wasn't my choice but they got me, let's play some diablo bois". But the vtuber isn't like a regular vtuber it's all messed up lol all like 2000s up, either leaning into asmon being a degenerate and all like dirty and sh, or leaning into more of like edgy boy sasuke aggro more testosterone or like aggro version of vtuber (because most vtubers are supposed to be like very cute and passive). Just an idea for content lol. Now would it be too far, maybe, but you know. Might be a little funny.

it reminds me of that one clip of a streamer getting killed in COD and going to the kid's stream only to see the kid dropping a freaking party with fire and lights and causing the kid to blow up.
It's always a blessing such a shoutout, but it may just as well be a curse for some as she might feel the pressure to accomodate her "new" viewers. I hope she will keep it up and not succumb to the pressure this might bring.

she's actually a great streamer. Honestly really glad asmon introduced me since I'm learning japanese and the immersion I get from their stream really helps
I feel like I'm finally at the point where immersion is no longer needed for me. I've been on and off studying on WaniKani, too.
I can pick up more than half of a phone conversation from a Japanese person near me. That was shocking!
So what's plainly obvious to me is my next major step on this learning journey is to at least visit Japan.
Just want to say good luck on your language learning journey and never give up. Everyone can learn a language even babies do it.

Asmon being a wholesome signal booster for VTubers isn't something I had on my bingo board. He's had a hell of a character arc since I first started watching him grinding nothing on WoW years ago and complaining about how shit the game is and how he refused to play anything else.
Vtubers truly are a miracle, saving so many people...

Sometimes big influencers forget they have the power to increase people's popularity just by interacting with them, all it takes is one memorial moment and boom viewer counts go up (Or Down) like crazy depending on the situation. I bet Asmon could make anyone he wanted too a popular influencer if he felt like it.
i think it more so depends on the streamers fan base.........not everyone has a dedicated fan base where they are on the same wave link to cause that much in 1 night. some big streamer if they told someone to follow them it would be like 100-200 tops because its a random fan base but a large one who just watch and dont care

Fun fact: The reason she apologized for adding the "-chan" suffix is that it can be taken as "feeling too close". That's why it's used sparingly in animes and considered as an endearment of some sorts.
Evidence: I literally (and I shit you not) got escalated to a Communications Manager (someone higher than a supervisor from where I come from) for chatting up a Japanese woman as a (failed) attempt to come off approachable, adding a -chan to her name. She literally took it as flirting.
NOTE: I chatted her up because I wanted her to prepare her workload for the day for some coaching (something like a performance review), not because I was trying to flirt.

Just an fyi for people interested in watching her, Japanese streams tend to generally have more chat etiquette. Some common etiquette is: Try to avoid derailing the stream by staying on topic to what's happening on stream, don't mention other streamers unless she mentions them first, avoid chatting with other people in chat
Probably why Japanese streamers tend to avoid western streaming platforms to avoid western viewers. Westerners on average be noisy, individualistic and don't care about rules.
