I loved the video! As a swahili teacher, i can't help myself not to improve your swahili.
-Mwalimu wa* Kiswahili sio ya kiswahili :)
-Unachota maji? (more correctly than unapata maji)
-You like to use Mbalimbali for different, you can also use tofauti e.g tofauti tofauti :)
-Jengo hili* lina miaka mingapi? sio jengo hii (keep reading on noun classes :)
-Inaitwaje? better than unasemaje hii kwa kiswahili...
-jina lako ni nani* sio nini :) nani - who, nini - what
-Unaweza kunishikia? to mean please hold it for me, sio kuninunua means to buy me?
-Sina magonjwa or siumwi to mean i am not sick sio sina mgonjwa which means I have no patient
-24:10 At the Kigaeni beach, Hamidi was trying to explain about mothers who make ropes using makumbi but at first I thought it was sisal. They beat the makumbi to get rope ( Kina mama wanapiga kamba)
    - Mtaani means at the streets "yupo huko mtaani" he is around, in the streets...village is kijijini but you translated well too could mean he was back in the village, i got that impression as well
-Maji - water, maziwa - milk...ng'ombe anataka maji (the cow wants water not milk) haha
    - Hamidi said inanuka meaning it smells / stinks like the poo, not you could fall into it :)
Lastly, did you say "baki salama?" or what did you say at the end? I couldn't hear it well.

This reminds me of your fellow youtuber, Siawma, from New York who also speaks multiple languages.
Tommy, congratulations. You are amazing !

G'day from Sydney, Australia. I'm very happy to have at last stumbled across a travel channel that is REAL. Where I get to see and meet the real people of a country narrated by what must be the most linguistically talent man I have ever come across...I mean, here he is teaching a Chinese girl how to speak Swahili in her own language. I love your laid back style. Fuck, the Russians are everywhere...I used to love going to Thailand until they arrived in their thousands and took over the place. I was once sitting with a small beach bar owner shooting the breeze and when he found out I was Australian, he told me how the Russians operate in Thailand. They arrive on chartered flights (so they don't fly on Thai airlines) and then they normally book into Russian owned resorts, their stay is paid for in Russia. They bring in as much Vodka they can carry and don't support the local bars like his. I kid you not, I was sitting next to this lady who sold BBQ corn on the cob...just after she finished for the day, she left her stall with some embers still glowing in her small BBQ, and this big fat Russian )with a beer gut that would hold sextuplet babies) and his wife arrive with their smelly Russian sausages and start to cook their dinner using her stuff...they then pulled out their vodka and sitting on the stall owners chairs began to eat their dinner. Fuck, how mean spirited...you come to a country, and don't spend a cent supporting the local's business...and my worst is to see them beat these poor street vendors down when buying touristy trinkets. Now, I have nothing against the Russian people...they are wonderful when they are at home, but when they are tourists in Thailand, then they can all just fuck off back to Siberia. If you are going to travel, then FFS support the local economy...it's really not that hard. But back to my new found friend here, he knows how treat the local people...with respect and dignity and by speaking in their language. I've travel all over the world, I was born in Africa, have lived in SE Asia & India, and now call Australia home. Tommy, keep on truckin mate...you're giving Americans a good name again. All is not lost. Safe travels.
