That rubber-ish coating of VW wears of fast. but with some repainting it is doable :) couldn't find the screws. seems rather hard to get too.. atleast now i know where they are so thank you :)

Good video man and just in time to, as i need to take out the piece below the steering wheel in my bora, which have a few cracks because of heat in my country (trinidad & tobago).
You can actually pull the steering towards yourself on most of the golfs with adjustable rack, once you pull the leaver to adjust it try pulling it toward yourself and will help you remove cluster Outa its place easily!!

I have MK4 model 2002 and I need to modify the full dashboard with the steering and console and instrument cluster to MK7 The question is: 1- can I do that? 2- did I need to change the control unit? 3-did I need to change the door interior panels with all the controls windows keys and mirrors ? 4- did I need to change all the car wires?
My heater hasn't been working and I finally got around to fixing it and I found that the fan speed controls melted. Is there a way to swap out just the heater control panel with a new replacement without having to disassemble the glove box, consoles, and things?
Is there any way to get the heater controls out without removing the entire center console? You did A vid on removing the climatronic controls but not the manual ones that come in from the back and neither has anyone else done such a video.
I want to see the vents behind the dashboard. I getting broken pieces of foam coming through the vents....I'm thinking there's a big piece blocking heat to the windshield defrost vent. Can u give me any advice. Thanks

your videos have been a great help but could you please do a video about parasitic drains, i have a mk4 golf and the battery drains really quick. iv changed the battery and checked that the alternator charges the battery. but as soon as i turn the ignition off it starts draining really really quickly. my boot doesnt open with the central locking could that be causing it to drain?
taking such things apart is one thing but putting it back together is another. Please try that one day surely you would have squeaks and rattles everywhere?
Not necessarily obvious put everything back together, if you're one to lose everything and not organized at all then probably yeah it was squeek and I'll brake things

3:41 how to remove the plastic piece from the heater panel? I can get it loose on the top but it's stuck at the bottom.

No, you can remove the glove box easy - it is 6 bolts.
