Great video! Helped lots 2 yrs ago. I would recommend when reinstalling dashboard you should have both front doors closed and check your gaps between dash and door cards. I installed mine slightly to the left lol will be adjusting.

You think the heater core in the next car you buy will last forever. The total time for this video is less than an hour obviously the 90's music sped things up, Lol. Use the proper tools and it can easily be done without issues in a few hours unless you need an excuse to buy that car you really wanted...
Just wanna add that you can just soak the trim pieces in rubbing alcohol and that terrible coating comes right off. No need to sand. Then you can just dip it or vinyl wrap it. It will look so much better.

i dropped my id down the defroster vent that is at the top of the dash right in the center by the windshield.... WHAT IS THE BEST WAY TO GO ABOUT GETTING TO IT TO RETRIEVE IT? YOUR HELP WOULD BE MUCH APPPRECIATED!
my 02 gti had an extra screw attached to a metal bracket on the right of the glovebox that required removing that little panel to the right. Not sure if all mk4s have that screw or yours was already broken off, but i ended up breaking mine...

Yeah its common that they break off and not all MK4's have it.
If I pull the glove department will I be able to get to the back because one of my vents the wheel that opens the vents fell back

Check for frayed wires, short, blown fuses
