Daniel is probably the person who has created the largest library of tutorial/guide videos on the ESX 1 hands down. The way he talks through the work process and explains everything deserves even more admiration because it really feels like he makes every video just out of love for music and the desire to share his experience with others and provide really helpful information. I appreciate his effort along with what I already mentioned above as well as the level of persistence in regards of creating content. If I`m not mistaken he started making these videos more than a decade ago and despite I didn`t have an ESX up until last year I really enjoyed watching them and in the end they were one of the main reasons I developed an affinity for this machine and ended up buying one and never had even the slightest feeling of regret if anything I only further my love and appreciation for this drum machine. Besides all the things it does for me as a piece of gear it has led me to expand my productivity and creativity for creating music in general. Daniels videos are probably the main catalyst for the progress I`ve managed to make and I always keep coming to watch and re-watch them.
Thank you! It's been a long, interesting journey, for sure, and it's nice to know that others have stayed along for the ride. Thanks again for the kind words. I appreciate you taking the time to watch. :)
Hey! Really inspiring. Can you explain part of the video when you started messing with start position and loop point of the drum sample. I just don’t get it) Thanks🙏🏻
Hello.. I think you mean when splitting apart the long breaks sample? I merely sampled all the breaks into one long loop, then trimmed the beginning and end points properly. That gave me a numerical value of sample length, which I could then divide into 4 separate breaks, and I used the loop function to test.
Ah, ok, got it! But after you trimmed for example first break, did you record it as new sample?? So eventually you will have 4 samples with different breaks.
Hello.. Yes, you can do that. Just set the MIDI channel of the Drum Rack to the same channel of the drum parts of the ESX, and send signal through your MIDI/audio interface. Thanks again for watching. :)
Hello.. Yes, you can put any sample you like in any part, including putting entire drum loops in the Drum Parts. In fact, I showed in another video (search Korg ESX elastic audio) how you can use the Motion Sequence values of a loop to make it play perfectly in any tempo or pitch. Thanks for watching!

I got all tips and trixx from Dan. I had ensoniqs, mpc'z and Roland w30. Follow this trusty man.
Now my memory is complete. With super chosen samples for a short mission in music. My cards are full. Sane purpose.
Now we break walls.
Oh really ? You got looooong samples then ?
Yes did i.
Great stuff! I always learn great little nuggets of info from your videos! Thanks, Bro! 😀 👊
Hello.. Thank you. I'll have the sample pack ready this evening, hopefully. Then I have some new ESX ideas I will be sharing. Thanks for watching!

@@Archey1111 .. Yes, sir; sorry if that wasn't clear. I used the maths to extract 4 perfect loops and save them in 4 separate locations.
@@danieklerr Thanks a lot!) Have a great day😊
I have the esx but cant find media card and also no reader on my pc
Is it possible for my friend to do it the other way around? To use the sound of Ableton's drumrack and trigger it through the ESX1's step sequencer?

THANKSSSSSSSSSSSS
hello friend is it only possible to put a drumloop per slice? In the drum part it's not possible to put drumloop? Thanks
