I have both of these pedals and they both incorporate a very subtle tubey/bottleneck-like sounding flange that is similar to an A/DA flanger on very low settings. The FX65 is the best alternative to the CE1 in my opinion, but the CE2, which some people mistake as a similar chorus, will always be the more desirable and valuable pedal as it's always been viewed as an alternative to the CE1 and doesn't seem to be as common as the DOD pedals. It just sounds different to me and not as complex. Again, the FX65 is *the* true CE-1 alternative.

@@lovecraftmusic8717 yup, he's quite picky with his gear... the more vintage the better... I did doubt that he would have used this... The DOD chorus however is really, really good. One of the best DOD pedals I own. So really it would have stood up if he had chosen to imo.

No hate on the DOD FX65, but it’s going up-against the “king” of all chorus pedals the Boss CE1!
