I wonder how much Paul page was getting paid to do both IRL and CART races. Paul page deep down must have been disappointed in the whole Indycar split mess and he hasn’t really spoke about it since reunification.
rob mush some ppl don’t like him I feel like and maybe for me it’s nostalgia but man I would take this team or one of the similar ones from the era over today’s in a second. My dream team would have Bobby Unser but the gas man is solid too but to be fair I wouldn’t say he’s necessarily any better than Paul Tracy or Townsend Bell but still overall
He was employed by ABC and ESPN, so he had to do as he was told. One his homepage, he hasn't said much about the split, other than that the Indy 500 he used to know died to him in 1996. He'll release an autobiography shortly as of 2021, so expect many more words on the split.

Paul Page didn't covered CART in 1997 and 1998. Bob Varsha replaced him till he moved to Speedvision in 1999.
