In this video we demonstrate how on a Synology NAS you hide shared folders from users without permission. By default all shared folders created on a Synology NAS are displayed to all users, even if they do not have permission to a particular folder. While this behaviour will not be a problem if you only have a limited number of network shares on your NAS. However, if you have a lot of shares, you may start to confuse the users of your NAS.
