Thank you! Excellent instructions. I was just wondering is there any way to share my music on my Alexa devices? Keep up the great work.

There is, but its not a great implementation due to the limitation of Alexa devices. As far as i can work out, music is streamed from your home network and back through the internet to your Amazon Alexa devices. So you will have to make Audio Station accessible from the internet. Something you may or may not be looking to do. As i decided not to do this myself, I have not pursued making a video on the topic, but if you are interested these Synology notes might help - kb.synology.com/en-us/DSM/tutorial/How_to_enable_Audio_Station_skill_on_Amazon_Alexa

I setup Audio Station with my music catalogue, it's awful and tedious, currently using iTunes but that's now obsolete and trying to find an alternative to AS.
I did try Jellfyin but you can't create favourites like iTunes

It might be worth giving Plex and PlexAmp a try

@@mydoodads do you have a video about that? Also, I have created a folder on my NAS, outside of 'music', which I would like to use for my audio files. Can I assign such a folder, which is not created by AudioStation by default?

@@chrisconcoco Not yet. It's something that I will be looking at in the future.
As to your Audio Station query, try the following:
      1. Open Control Panel - Indexing Service
      2. In Media Indexing, click on Indexed Folder
      3. In indexed folders click on Create
      4. Give the folder a name and select the additional folder you want to include.
      5. Tick or untick the media types you will be including in your new folder.
      6. Click OK
I think you might need to Re-index after.
      Hope this helps.

@@mydoodads the one thing that I am still struggling with is - and forgive the crossposting - how to make this indexed folder visible to PLEX. When I try to 'Add folders to your library', this indexed folder (and respective subfolders (e.g., albums) won't pull through, and the library remains blank.
