Hiii!! First of all, thank you so much for watching the Peru series 😊😊 wanted to answer some questions and comments. First of all I’m sorry if you have guinea pigs as pets, I think they are adorable as well but it’s something I was told I must try in Peru. When I made my comment about people thinking I was Jackie chan, I was not even joking lol 😂 all I heard walking around was...Jackie chan...Jackie chan...and yes I as you can tell I am horrible with languages...so if I ever show up at your country and call you a sir when you are not one...I want to apologize in advance.

Strictly Dumpling 8:48 when they say "al palo" it means on the stick, they roast the pork on a stick
Strictly Dumpling 12:16 that slimey is called "linaza" which is basically flaxseeds in water that give you a gellatinous slimey product. It is said to be very good for gastritis among other things

As good Peruvian I had gone to Mistura from the very beginning and it is a nice experience. I hope that you could find the guide of Huariques (small restaurants or businesses where you can taste amazing food and incredible affordable price) If you need the recipes of Peruvian dishes I am more than willing to share my recipes with you like you share your recipe of Pho!! I don't know why the food is nasty. I had a Peruvian Nanny and she would cook and NO ONE would liked the food. I had to tell her only to cook her meals for her or she could eat what I served.

My grandfather migrated to Peru in the early 20th century.
Peru has the largest concentration of Chinese descendants in all of SouthAmerica.
The Chinese cuisine is very popular in Peru ;and in the past few decades it has
incorporated part of the Peruvian cuisine.
There is a name people call the Chinese Restaurants iin Peru : CHIFA

That experience of sharing food from different cultures is a great way to engage with people. I could see the pride they had in witnessing your enthusiasm for their food. The beginning was what I imagine Mikes heaven looks like when he dreams. It’s important for people to remember that in many places in the world their meat doesn’t come packaged in neat sanitised packages from a supermarket
