Hope you're all taking care and able to enjoy some outdoor time safely 💚 I put some info in the video description for fit tips, my past Cecilie Bahnsen-inspired DIY attempts, and also my Animal Crossing island tour 🥰 our team is working on something new and exciting and we'll tell you about it next week!
Hey! So I don't know if you will answer this but you never know right? 🤷🏽♀️ I am starting a degree in fashion design and I love recreating your designs. However sometimes it gets difficult without patterns, so my question is could you upload the patterns you make or if you already have done that, what's the link so I can use them? Thank you so much, I love everything you make😊🥰
Honestly as a short woman, high-waist/babydoll cuts are more flattering on me so I am wholeheartedly embracing the toddler chic style. There are clothes I want to make that are basically just adult sized baby rompers, hahaha
I have been here for all the Cecilie Bahnsen DIYs without any sewing skills whatsoever 🤣 I just enjoy your videos so much, they keep getting better and better ❤️
Wendy, just why are you so adorable???!!!...😂 😍😍 This lockdown + your tutorials made me finally plug in the sewing machine I had tucked away for 2years!!🤦🏾♀️🤦🏾♀️😂 I was always scared the needle will hit me. I had no one to teach me at home and sewing tutorials seemed like they were intended mostly for the pros. One of your tutorials with a babygirl sewing the tulle sleeve(?) made me decide to brave through the challenge!! If she can do it, so can I. 😂 I can sew straight stitches now and more.. 🙈🙈😂 Thanks to you!! 💋
Keep your eye on the presser foot and go slow, you got this!!! Sometimes I find there are similarities between learning to drive and getting comfortable with your sewing machine, so it's totally ok to "drive slowly in an empty parking lot" as you start out :)
My daughter had a friend who had a rolly bag for a sewing machine, or made it, I'm not sure, but I was so impressed when I saw it. She had everything she needed to produce any sewing project she needed. I wish I'd have taken pictures when I saw it. She took it everywhere.
me too! but a contemporary sewing machine needs to be plugged )))) electricity is not available on a picnic. BUT a vintage sewing machine can work anywhere!
So pretty.... you really captured the picnic vibe with this one. Great job! If you are seriously considering doing all 4 seasons please consider either the Rosie skirt or the Bey or Primrose dresses as your spring.
Initially I didn't see this video cause the dress wasn't my style, but now in december I'm soooo missing your craft with me sessions from springtime, that I'm just watching this vid in the background while I'm handsewing chubby christmas hearts out of warm red felt, so I can hear your soothing voice and be inspired to keep crafting stuff :)
Absolutely loved your take on the dress. The extra volume you added to the skirt made it so dreamy. I would love to wear this to a picnic or picking berries even though this is not my typical style. 🌟
Thank you so much, Wendy! I have been subscribed to you since you began making videos on UA-cam, and I have always loved your tutorials and your authenticity. The ways in which your graphics and videography have improved are so amazing and I love that you are taking on more difficult projects! I am in my last year of university as a fashion design major and I really have loved learning and growing alongside you :) Keep doing you Wendy, you are a star in this world.
Wendy, I loved this video!!! Not only do I love the dress, but the nature in the background is so calming and serendipitous!! I hope you're doing well, I love seeing your videos!!
This is so PRETTTTTTTTYYYYYY I'm so glad I found your channel I've been thinking of trying to learn how to sew, you make look fun and manageable. Respect 💗
Hi Wendy! I’m not great at sewing, just the occasional jean hems and strap adjusting. BUT with your videos, I’ve felt so inspired to thrift flip (my old clothes). I love your videos 🥺
I'm impressed that your sewing machine is solar powered for sewing at DIY picnics ;) Good vid. I like how even if the project isn't one I would make I can still watch and learn about the techniques.
I‘m so glad that you cannot get electricity for your sewing machine from raw firmament. I was getting ready to get very envious when you heaved your sewing machine on the picknick blanket. I don‘t know this designer, but I love what you you do with her inspirations. Have you ever looked at dresses by Molly Goddard with your inspo eye?
So super cute, liked your version, was more streamlined and fitted-ish but still cute enough to run around in a meadow, picking weeds, I mean flowers, lol
I really wonder what your favorite sewing machine is. For the longest I made excuses I needed an industrial because that’s all I learned on in HS/College. You make using any equipment look like a breeze, the patients wow! The skill set wow 😍
Ehm... I think yours looks Better!😀 Beautiful! Love the Coat too. I also learned most sewing stuff myself, so I now the feeling you've described... Greetings from the Netherlands😊🌸
Honestly digging this shape! I did a similar pattern for a cosplay and when I wore the blank dress it looked so pretty for my body type!Really nice video
what app? i would find this useful for myself as well. also it is possible for the creator to open up captioning to the community, which is far better than not having any at all or having auto captions on.
I love how much you love Cecilie Bahnsen ! Third tutorial inspired by her, and I'm always telling myself : 'Oh I love Cecilie's work too, I should really make this' and never do ahah. But this time I will !
ooo I love how you did this, also a trick that I have learned to for turning the strips inside out is sewing one side and using a thin paintbrush through, its a faster process. also when inserting a band into its whole thing is taping an end to an end of a paintbrush or pencil with the tip of the paintbrush connecting the band so it protects the hairs. I found this to be much faster then a safety pin
This is such an awesome idea to sew outside! Love your fun ideas I can’t wait to try this but add heat shaped pockets use a circle skirt and add ruffles that jacket BTW it’s amazing and I need that for all my Lolita dresses so I am going to have to watch that video

Love the editing here! Wonderful work :)

I loovvee the outcome, I have a dress that you can try by Robert Wun, CAN YOU DIY IT? I've sent the image via instagram direct :)
What fabric is this? I want something similar
Could you go over how you drafted your bodice at some point? I'm dying to try this one out for myself
Honestly as a short woman, high-waist/babydoll cuts are more flattering on me so I am wholeheartedly embracing the toddler chic style. There are clothes I want to make that are basically just adult sized baby rompers, hahaha
regency cut looks are cute. love it
I LOVEEEEEE THIS NEW EDITING STYLE AND THE ANIMAL CROSSING AT THE END WAS SOOOOO CUTE
That AC ending was everything ✨
I have been here for all the Cecilie Bahnsen DIYs without any sewing skills whatsoever 🤣

Awww ❤ such a sweet comment 😊

@@withwendy I literally felt the exact same way as I learnt to drive and to sew kinda parallely! :D

If I could I would take my sewing machine everywhere lol xx
Me too!!! I hate leaving it for too long

I always wanted to sew outside. The idea of it its kinda soothing.
Absolutely loved your take on the dress. The extra volume you added to the skirt made it so dreamy. I would love to wear this to a picnic or picking berries even though this is not my typical style. 🌟

Hi Wendy! I’m not great at sewing, just the occasional jean hems and strap adjusting. BUT with your videos, I’ve felt so inspired to thrift flip (my old clothes). I love your videos 🥺

Good vid. I like how even if the project isn't one I would make I can still watch and learn about the techniques.
i have loved all of the Cecilie Bahnsen pieces that you’ve made!! maybe this one will finally be the one i attempt to make :)
The editing style on this one is super nice 😊

I really wonder what your favorite sewing machine is. For the longest I made excuses I needed an industrial because that’s all I learned on in HS/College. You make using any equipment look like a breeze, the patients wow! The skill set wow 😍

Ehm... I think yours looks Better!😀 Beautiful! Love the Coat too. I also learned most sewing stuff myself, so I now the feeling you've described... Greetings from the Netherlands😊🌸

in love with Cecilie Bahnsen dress!! you are so talented! enjoyed your video like always :)
Honestly digging this shape! I did a similar pattern for a cosplay and when I wore the blank dress it looked so pretty for my body type!Really nice video
You don’t have captions/subtitles in your channel for hearing impaired people, I use app to translate what you says into subtitles I read.
what app? i would find this useful for myself as well. also it is possible for the creator to open up captioning to the community, which is far better than not having any at all or having auto captions on.
@withwendy will you allow us to contribute captions for the hearing impaired community? 💕
Wow, great result!
that animal crossing outro was ADORABLE!!!
Cute dress and I loved the AC ending!! Love how you include photography in your vids as well!!

Wendyyyy you make sewing look so easyy omg you’re so freaking talented!!!
ooo I love how you did this, also a trick that I have learned to for turning the strips inside out is sewing one side and using a thin paintbrush through, its a faster process. also when inserting a band into its whole thing is taping an end to an end of a paintbrush or pencil with the tip of the paintbrush connecting the band so it protects the hairs. I found this to be much faster then a safety pin
