    That has to be the 3 worst amp modelling sounds I've heard since 2001. Yuck Yuck YUCK!

    Excellent video. I noticed a few Reverend guitars in this one, which was cool. Also, it looks like this came out with a lot of other videos on this product, which is very cool to see.

      Yup! We’ve all had our time to put it through its paces and see what we thought for todays launch. Exciting.
      And absolutely, Reverend has really grown to be my favorite guitar lately. That Jetstream is definitely my go-to, everything about it feels great, and I’m getting the sound closer as well. Right now its got a Seymour Duncan JB-2 Jazz pickup in the neck, which I use most of the time.

      Thank you so much! I’m never really satisfied with my playing, but I’m getting better. And I can say the Amped is pretty great. I’ve been using it as my “amp” at practice for the past two weeks and it’s ability to drive the speakers at any volume is super handy.

    That sounds great black star really upped there game on this one I could easily build a pedal board around this guy and just bring a two twelve cab to a show or hell maybe two cabs and yes I got a gigantic pedal board and a secondary table top board I'm building as well but I have been trying to assemble something with just mini pedals utilizing something like this would be rad but it is kinda pricey but since it's replacing a amp head I guess it's on since I've moved on from my katana mk1 50 and traded it to my friends kid so he could have his first real amp

    Nice review, thanks! MIDI will (should) give you 128 presets -- you'd just need to have a device to scroll through and select them. Could be a Morningstar pedal or even a phone app if you add a Bluetooth receiver. But that does start to erode the convenience of the all-in-one device. I agree that preset management would be a huge upgrade!

    Thanks for the detailed video. Just wondering how good this is for home recording. And what is the best method for that.

      I was able to get some pretty good combinations going once I really dug into the interface, though I think I still prefer being able to load IRs into my Iridium. I got the best results by using the XLR out into my Universal Audio Volt interface. The usb interface is handy but slight edge to the XLR out.

    I understand you need the software to have multiple patches. Using an external midi controller and programming each cc to match a desired setting. Will this work withouth the need for the software and hence externalizing the patch function. Ie using boss es8 to switch cc for each patch. Thank u

      @StompboxBreakdown  Рік тому

      All of the controls on the front/top are controllable via MIDI, so I would imagine you could do exactly that, cook up your patches using MIDI commands. The thing to watch is that you'd probably want one patch to "reset" the Amped 2 just in case any of the knobs got moved from last time you went to play. Hope that helps!

      Yeah, it definitely felt like I was forgetting something when leaving the house. For long-term, I'd probably integrate it into a pedalboard and case, but it was fun showing up to practice with just this stuffed into the front pocket of a gig bag.
