As someone who’s first ever sims build was a Scandinavian tiny house about three years ago, this pack kinda makes me emotional from nostalgia.

Forcing yourself to go out when you have serious anxiety is a big deal, and I am so very, very proud of you for doing it! Any chance you might show off the victory plant in a video? I just need encouragement to be as brave as you have been (despite being twice your age and having a husband/career to go with me if I leave the house). We got take-out delivered today though, that's almost social interaction right? I mean, I didn't place the order, or answer the door or anything, but I was in the same building!
Please don't be hard on yourself. Anxiety doesn't respect age or social status or anything else. What's been helping me (a 35 year old lady with a husband, no career thanks to the panny-d, and 2 adorable fur children,) has been "making friends" with my anxiety. I gave her a name, and when I notice she's popping up or when I know she is going to be present, I talk to her something like this, "Hey there. I see you're upset, and that's okay. You're just trying to protect me. I appreciate it and you do your thing over there, but I'm going to the store. Have a nice day!" Heh I know it sounds weird but it works. When I don't try to control it by squashing it down and instead just let it coexist with me but still keep forging ahead, it seems like I forget it's there after a few minutes. And I have no joke diagnosed OCD levels of high and bad anxiety. (The suggestion came from my therapist. I'm not that smart on my own haha!)

Hi there, you're not alone. Anxiety does not differentiate.. it's just there. Keep fighting, keep pushing your own limits and learn that it is ok to give up control sometimes, you're stronger than fear. It's hard and a very long process but totally worth it.

The whole anxiety section was so relatable to me, I don’t leave my house either and before the pandemic hit I was just starting to get there like Kayla is now- baby steps, making excuses to try go places, and now I’m all the way back to square one because of Covid 😖
Figured I’d add that I have really bad social and separation anxiety, I used to go to therapy and that’s why I was better before Covid- but yk, can’t go to therapy when there’s a pandemic 😬😅
Same problem. Except I also have social anxiety. Some days I can barely write emails anymore, but making calls somehow got easier(?) And crowds are almost the worst now. Didn't liked them before, now I absolutly despise them.
@@PhoenixAusten I don't have anxiety about leaving, but I do have social anxiety. It's so annoying too because logically you know it's stupid how you're feeling but you also can't stop it.. and with social anxiety that just makes the situation worse.. Like talking to someone I'll feel anxious, start to shut down, but also start thinking like "Oh no.. I'm making it awkward because I can't say anything.. I want to, but I can't.. now they'll think something's wrong with me.." and it just spirals out of control until you leave and you're just left like "..Well that was extremely dumb of me to feel that way >.>"
Also, crowds I can handle because I almost feel like I'm not able to be singled out? If that makes any sense at all. In-person conversation I can kind of do depending on the topic. Phone calls though? NOPE I'M OUT SEE YA.. lol. I don't know why but I *cannot* handle being on the phone. I start sweating profusely and stumbling over everything I say. It becomes a full blown panic attack just because my phone rang.. It's to the point that if I try to find a job and it says I need to use a phone I'll have a mini panic attack just reading that.

@@Eventide215 I’m the same with the phone- I never talk to anyone and if I need to make an important phone call my mum actually has to do it all for me- I turn 20 this year and my mum still takes me to the doctors and talks to my bank across the phone etc... I get what you mean about feeling stupid for how you feel too, it sucks when all you wanna do is be normal and act normal and stop panicking but the thought that you’re unable to do that just makes it even worse 🤦🏼♀️
I'm in the same boat as you 😭 I have really bad social anxiety and before the pandemic I'd just graduated college and so id gotten a little better interacting with people but then the pandemic hit and I feel like I've taken 1000 steps back

I definitely relate to being anxious to go out. Very proud of you for doing something outside your comfort zone and going to Lowes. It was special that you bought a plant as a reward for doing something scary! Each time you do something to push back against anxiety (no matter how 'silly' it might seem) is a step in the right direction! Your anxieties and fears are valid!

So I was futzing with fences too because they kept trying to match my foundation height. I've found that if u turn off auto-place to wall, and turn on manual build, and start off the wall 1st it stags ground height.

Left click just takes you to them. Right click means you follow them haha.

To be fair, I tend to forget about the ability to click to find unless I sent someone running off to fetch collectibles. You kind of assume if they're in the house it'll make things easier to just spin it around but that's often not the case lol.

@@littlegreensunflower3547 Right! lol Of course, the other issue is if you're off the lot and accidentally click the wrong person. I've done that many a time too cause I'm clumsy. (But that's the price you pay for having more than one Sim and leaving yer house. Very handy when wanting to go home super quick though.)
It's not silly at all! Going out after staying inside for that long can be really difficult for some people, me included, and every single baby step is worth celebrating!
Absolutely!!! My social anxiety was sooo bad before the pandemic started, I couldn't even go get groceries without a panic attack. Thankfully it's gotten better, but big props to lilsimsie for taking the baby steps ❤️

i lovee the fake vanity. i try to make vanities as much as i can bc like at least a makeup cluttered desk in the corner of the bedroom with a mirror alt placed above it it just feels so natural to have a place for ur sim to "get ready" when they literally just get up and spin and they're good

when I'm off work for 1-2 weeks & don't do much I can feel how quickly the anxiety comes back! so keep doing the things that make you anxious, that way they will get easier in the long run

When you cut the hair at the back of your head, try looking down and having someone cut it so the under layers end up shorter and you won’t have the weird pieces in the back (:

100% RELATE! I have always had anxiety and driving is a huge one. After covid I started getting more anxious about going to stores, esp when the parking lot is packed. I slowly have gotten better with that at least. Do it one store at a time and soon you are fine and don't realize it. I think repetition is needed for a lot of people with anxiety.

Same here. Weirdly enough making phone calls somehow got easier, but school over zoom or writing emails? Absolutely horrible. It was fine in the beginning and got worse over time.

Can we talk about how she's been incorporating more LGBTQ+ elements in her builds during Pride month? We love to see a supportive ally
I also have pretty short hair, but i also have very thick hair, so what i do is have the top part separated from the under/bottom hairwith a comb, and have the longer underlayer shaved. as long as you know someone who can shave hair and learn how to use a comb to separate your hair (if you dont know already) its pretty easy
I found that the parents have problems staying in their room when they woohoo. They have to go stand in the hall to start the activity.
As someone who also struggles with anxiety, particularly with going places/dealing with people, I want to say that it's not "silly" that going to buy plants is such a big deal or however you put it. The important thing is that you are taking those baby steps and facing things that make you anxious! Whatever they are. Anxieties aren't more or less valid, we all feel different and that's fine! Going those places and doing those things and facing whatever makes you anxious is always a win 💕
sorry if this is weird, but i feel the same as you about the anxiety issues and the pandemic, and i'm sure many others do as well... when you go out more often and see firsthand that nothing bad is gonna happen when you leave the house, it kind of reassures you and calms the anxiety a little, like a constant reminder that even if something bad or embarrassing happens, it isnt the end of the world. and you learn ways to cope and get yourself used to doing all that, and during the pandemic since we couldn't go out much, i think your brain kind of ends up forgetting all that work you did and the tolerance you've built and sets you back. but anyway, what i mean to say is- it'll get better! it'll be hard for a while but i'm glad and proud that you can push through and keep trying, because it WILL help and it WILL be worth it. ❤️

It is absolutely closer to 1000 unfortunately. At least for me on Steam, buying everything at once is about $850, and that price will keep going up with each new pack. It’s kinda sad 😕

I used to have driving anxiety too!! Honestly the best way to get over it is just doing it, I basically was forced several times to drive on “scary” roads and eventually got over it, I went from barley being able to drive in a neighborhood to driving in city’s and on the interstate. Also knowing your way around makes it significantly less stressful.
In honour of pride month you could build a house in rainbow order, so if you wanted to place a stove it has to be red then fridge has to be orange etc

Shopping anxiety is a real thing! you’re doing amazing! The idea of slowly introducing yourself back to the world because of COVID is exactly what my therapist told me to do for myself!
