It's great to see you hard at it. Love your honesty, and your personality really shines through very entertaining thanks again, Sarah, for sharing this wonderful video. Sarah's green fingers, 💚 greenest fingers on tube by far 👌
Thank you the giggles. Allotment looks good it’s all in the preparation. It’s going to be beautiful and productive. Mick won’t know what to eat first. I want to come and help you weed it’s my favourite job 😊
There are two tools I use in the garden that are very dear to me. I use a garden knife with a saw-like edge to split the roots on potted plants before I put them in the ground. I usually cut the roots in four places equally around the plant, I find that stops them from being root bound even in the ground. It's looking great Sarah! As someone else said, I would use the grass you've dug up for your paths, money saver!
Looking absolutely fabulous Sarah and it’s appreciated by many because the channel is growing as well as the plants 😅. Happy gardening 👩🌾, Ali 💨🌤️🥶🌧️🇨🇦
Another day and more things accomplished, it will be amazing this summer when you've added all your seeds and flowers, veggies and strawberries. You're doing great, that from a non-gardener 🤣🤣 Love and hugs to you and Mick 🥰🥰 xx
As a gardener who began looking after a very grassy back garden,I gradually improved over the next 50+years,until I was no longer able to manage it on my own.We had a succession of people who were sometimes a bit haphazard but we eventually found one who actually knew what he was doing. He’s been with us for about 4 years and we couldn’t be happier. He’s even older than me.!!! I do still miss doing some of the garden things that I would love to be able to do,even now.!!Love to you both.xx
What a fantastic feeder, I’ve not seen one with all three varieties of food holders together Great idea metal tying it on, ours are padlocked over a tree because the Squirrels started stealing the whole feeder 😂 Your allotment is really coming along.
Always entertaining. Really enjoy the easy relaxing pace of your videos. Your garden is coming along really nicely. Can’t wait to see everything growing and producing 🙂🥬🌽🍅🥔
I like your bird feeder. I've found the squirrels take the bird feeders down and destroy them to get the seeds out so possibly birds eating the seeds. My seeds get eaten un no time by the birds. Mainly big ones though. Pigeons Magpies and crows. I hide some in the bushes for the little birds.
I am loving watching this on Monday mornings while I eat breakfast before work. Has been so delightful! Thank you, Sarah, for bringing us along! Edit: Just realized its Tuesday 😆 Where does it go!?
Never heard a fuchsia called dancing ballerina plant before, but it really fits🩰😀. Lots to do, I actually like doing the jobs😮, making things look all tidy….
A little advice from a fellow gardener and bird lover, if you don’t want to attract squirrels NEVER put out peanuts unless they are a fair distance away from your bird feeders. The allotment is coming along nicely ❤
Great job!! Squish the roots of the shrub trees like a package of charmain toilet paper, not too hard not too soft just enough to break the soil...your doing great with your lot, it looks beautiful. ❤
Don't over do it Sarah you'll be on the couch again and can't move like i saw on that video a few days ago.your grand children are going to have such a good time.i'll be looking forward to see it when it is finished i can hear you just fine Sarah .Josephine
You will get better and more colorful birds! Great improvement! I think you will be very pleased! You are doing great! Have a fun summer growing , it’s good for the soul! ✌🏻💞😊
I can honestly tell you this is not boring, I am learning from you. If you buy cheap corn the squirrels 🐿️ will eat them and leave the bird food alone. I have a bird bath near my window and I watch the birds drink and bath in it. It’s cement so it won’t go anywhere. Great work this day Sarah. Be sure to have fun with your allotment and please stop saying your sorry you’re not doing anything wrong. Plus remember this is your thing to do not ours. No need to worry about us we are here to watch you and maybe learn from you. Have a Happy Day ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️💜
I think it would look nice to have one of the new rectangle planters across the walk you are making. Right by the new bush you just planted. That way it would be a bit like a raised bed! 😊
😂 Hard work creates beautiful spaces Sarah. Given time, this alotment is going to be very productive with food items and beautiful flowers. My Sweet Peas are sprouting well and i can't wait to see them in full bloom. Not only are they beautiful, their perfume is so lovely too. Potatoes are a great harvest and they taste so lovely when you get them from the soil, to your plate in one day. I'm quite excited to see all the developments Sarah. Keep up the good work girl. Slowly, slowly, catchy monkey eh. Xx
I heard somewhere that it's better to dig a square hole to transplant things from a round pot. The explanation was that in a round hole roots will continue grow in a circle but in a square hole the roots will grow straighter. I tried it when I still had a yard but I couldn't think of a way to check the progress without digging up the plant again. For what that advice is worth.😁
hello sarah i have watched your journey and me n my family would love to have a allotment but they dont exist here and a plot is what we call a cemetery lol but we enjoy your content thank you so much from new Zealand
Mick doesn’t enjoy allotment life like me lol he doesn’t like the bugs tge gardening or the fresh air lol he will however run me to the allotment with stuff I can’t carry
You know they make comfery tea to feed the plants well I don't have any but I saw you can make one from stinging nettles. Will be giving that a go this year and saving myself money on sea weed feed this year x
We don’t have allotments where I live so its been quite interesting to follow your progress. If you have a need for a video idea, would it be possible to do a bit of a talk on the rules and regs that come with being assigned to one? Are there any limits on what you can grow? Do you have to pay a rental fee for the space?
It's so relaxing sitting here watching someone else struggle for a change, lol xx
Lol I’m so glad I’m of service x
Hi Sarah, keep your wellies upside down on canes or broom handles to stop spiders.
Keep on doing what you're doing and I love your bottle dump videos 👍
Thanks for the tip!
Sarah the evergreen tree will for a meter in 10 years and they may be a bit close together. You are getting along nicely.
Your certainly making a big difference to your allotment. Well done. Keep up the excellent work.
Thank you
I started Mudlarking with you now will also enjoy watching you tend to your garden

Hopefully I can keep enough alive
Around my neighborhood the deer get into the bird feeders!
The deer ate my mothers tulips and petunias and pansies and pretty much every flower she tried.
not the concrete pad, though
We have a fence around the allotments but they did breech it last year

Probably growing better than the plants lol

Your allotment is really coming along.
Lol told you those squirrels are so clever
Your allotment has great bones - and your transplants are growing 🤲 - looking forward to your sweet pea tower
I’m very nervous about those growing seeds direct is scary
Soak the seeds 24 hours before sowing them and water every day if you can

That is one really fancy bird feeder .
Yeh a super whoofer one
You could take the grass that you took up and replant it in grass walkway that you are doing
Don’t worry I have re used the grass similar in a future video great idea
Doing a good job luv, nice idea mixing the fun and boring jobs...well done
Got to be done like that to keep it interesting lol

Thank you
Looking super 🩷💜❤️🩵💛🧡💚💙
Thank you 😊
Good job and the rhubarb looks great. I had some in my yard one time but didn’t know what to do with it.
It’s really huge now
Love the bird feeder. You are one hard working woman but if it makes you happy then keep on planting.
Thanks
That small bird feeder you can screw it to the side of the wood feeder so it doesn't hit the big feeder. Love your garden so far.
I move it to another location keep watching I’m a couple of videos ahead

I can do that . I film well in advance so it won’t show up for a while but it’s things I can definately mention . Great idea
Great 1m is high enough . Thanks so much they prob are too close will they just form a little hedge do you think and knit together ?
Is there enough room to sit between the new beds?
Only at the poly tunnel entrance
The bird feeder is to low..
It’s as high as I can get it sadly nothing higher to put it on but thankfully gets full of blue tits now so that was my objective complete
Great job sound and visuals good ..need too clean and put away tools 🤨
Clean and put away tools ? Do people do that ? Lol
