Once you get a star, tap the star once and it will still be mergable and the merged version will Be Not Be affected. Also tap them once in levels.
Then you get EVEN more Gems

So just to clarify you can tap each level star twice, once in levels and once in camp without consuming them?
You didn't tap them first! You can tap the tiny purple stars once (sometimes twice, but always once) for a gem before you merge them. They won't turn into a yellow star until the second, sometimes third tap, the first one is always "free." This will get you an extra two "medium" gems per 5-merge.

Hi there guys, the level I usually get the purple stars on is Dread Marsh 3. It only takes about 10 seconds to complete and is insanely easy.

@@quietautumn5125 The purple star doesn't come up all the time only on very random occasions and it's always free once you have completed the level

@@quietautumn5125 just be sure to not click it while in the level, star that is tapped within the level goes to the camp like this! Tap it only when you are in the camp - just once, before merging! Happy farming :D

Try getting 3 stars on zomblin falls 1 and if you get a dragon gem star then don’t click it finish the level and it will be in your free rewards and then you can bring it back to camp
Play levels over and over and over again by playing levels over and over I get purple stars in a week probably 10 to 15 stars or more

I just wanna point out a very good level for getting purple stars. It is zomblin falls 1. It only costs 1 chalice. It also takes less than ten seconds, and I realized that after beating the level about 3 times, you get one purple star. It may take more tries than that, but it is usually around 3.

You gotta click purple stars ONCE before you merge them. That way you get extra tiny gem per star = two insane ones then merge.
Also you do that to yellow stars. You can click them more than once, level 5 yellow star = 2 clicks before merge. You'll have lots & lots of chests.

You can get them as a reward at the end of completing a map level, not when you get one during the map level. Do the level Dread Marsh 3, its super quick to finish. You can get dragon stars while IN the level and as a reward at the end :)
@@ronjakristina8357 If you get one during the level and don't click on it, it should come up for free as a level reward. At least that's what happens for me, idk if there are different versions of the game where that doesn't work.

If you collect the giant stars they are 5 gems each so do separately instead of merging you will get 25 not 15 gems.
When you merge the gems together the gigantic gems are worth 15 gems each
@@ToastedGamerBoutique what he is sayin is that 5 giant gems are worth 5 each which equals 25, if you merge them you only get 15, you are wasting 10 gems.
You get 2 that are worth 15 with a 5 merge so you get a total of 30 my way...

The golden fog aka the clouds you have to buy give a gem star and they give lots of gems
You can click the gem star once while in the level and when you get back to camp with it will act as if it were never clicked. Thus giving you one extra gem.

Wow just saw your video for the first time. I didn't know this actually existed this is so awesome. I absolutely love merge dragons I can't stay off of it my friends keep getting mad with me. I can't wait for it to expand even larger. But I had to ask is it better to play on PC then on my phone? my reason being is on my phone every single thing I merge as 3's, 4's, 5's, no matter how they're sitting they merged together. How are you able to actually place them next to each other without them automatically merging. Is there really a difference between PC then phone? I really want to know it's so totally worth it to start all over again. Sort of speak....

you can turn off auto merge and turn off chain reactions in the camp settings

Wow that's sweet!! I'll have to try and figure out how I get it to camp now lol (edit) so I figured out if you don't claim stuff in the challenge levels it only sometimes goes back to camp .. Do you know what does and doesn't come back to camp?
When they show up in a level dont click it, it the exception of items you can bring back to camp!!!
How can u put more than two of mergable items next to eachother without them merging (Like at 1:19)? Whenever i put three next to eachother they always merge.
In the settings menu you can click the option to only allow merge 5 at camp.

Might be a dumb question but how do you put them next to each other like that without them automatically merging? Mine merge as soon as 3 or more are next to each other
It has something to do with settings. You have to set it so that it will only merge when similar items are directly on top of each other.
I've not noticed that I can choose to take items back to camp. Is this still doable?

Kimberly Turner hi Kimberly, you have to change your settings so they wont merge automatically, turn off the allow chain reaction in settings. You’ll have to scroll down to see this option in settings

Hi, I have a question. If you get yellow stars on a level, should it be on your bar after completion? Or is it only for the purple ones? I haven't tried it with the purple stars yet, am afraid to actually. I just did I think Skull Grove and it wasn't on the bar at the end. All I got was some coins :( Thanks in advance!

you can merge an 11 and get 3 ;), you're welcome and it goes higher with specific numbers to get additional bonuses... but 5 and 11 are where you have your control. ;)
YOGNA FOUNDATION you can merge 10 and get 4... why would you merge 11 for only 3
Merge 5 for two, 10 for four... It's measured in merges of 5.
I also have tons of chests that are locked as I don’t have gems to open. Also, not sure if I should “sell” off certain items in camp or I may need the, later on for items harvested? Ugh, a tad overwhelmed….lol

you didnt mention that the dragon stars that you get in levels are ALWAYS free to bring back to camp
What device are you n playing on? On my device, whenever 3 items get even remotely near each other, they merge & I see you can stack 4 & 5 near each other without them auto-merging
You have to turn off auto-merge in settings :)

Just started playing this yesterday and so far it seems like this is a huge money grabbing game. Seems like everything i really need requires gems and the game doesnt like to give them therefore its trying to push me into paying for them... love the game but possibly having to pay for everything i need.. sux

I thought this video was"How to get gems" not how to merge gems title was very misleading very disappointed. Dont worry did not dislike but did not like either. LIke I usually do.
Merge 13 at once and you get 5 big ones.
It's just the same as merging 5 (gives 2) + 5 (gives 2) + 3 (gives one). It's more efficient to do multiples of 5. If you merge 15 at once you'd get 6

When they appear dont tap them, when you complete the level you will have it in your rewards! It's the one exception.

Thanks!!! 5 merges are the best, 10, 15... You want to use multiples of 5. An 8 merge is a 5+3 . The 5 merge have the most exponential power!
