Hey Cale, your excavator you mentioned in the vid (210 JD) the 210 you said means 210 metric tonnes and you wanted the conversion into short tons. Here is what the conversion says it ways, in “America” speak. 210 Metric Tons ≈ 231.48538 Short Tons Dozer recommendation; JD 780c former Marine useage, that you can buy from UA-camr C & C Equipment in Southern Indiana Totally gone through from stem to stern, better than new low hours, painted in military green. That is what would fit in well for your harem of equipment. It would be a very nice addition! He could bring it to you or you could go get it as well. I’ll wait for that purchase and video to come out.
In Texas, lady did 'controlled burn' on a windy day. Fire got away called fire department, gave her a warning. Next day, still windy, did 'controlled burn' again. Fire got away called fire department, arrested her for arson.
I worked for Brown & Root Construction & Halliburton, they had a lot of Cat bulldozers, D9 the Big Daddy, D6, & D3’s were very common on the job sites. In Louisiana the sugar cane fields have controlled burns and the Forestry Department does a lot of control burns, if they don’t we are a tinder box subject to wildfires at all times.
Over here in the eastern MO Ozark foothills, the red cedars have about taken over. We always used them for fence posts but labor intensive to cut and sharpen so they could be driven. I am having our family farm (since 1845) logged off and cedar is bringing $.50 per board foot at the local sawmills, about the same as black walnut but a lot less than “whiskey” white oak logs. We just called the spiky trees: thorn trees, but officially ours are known as Honey Locust or Black Locust. Saw a person on Etsy selling a bag of 50 thorn spikes for $12!? You’re right, equipment is always fun.
Hi Cale. Have you seen the new precision sprayer from JD and Hagie cameras on the booms find weeds and spray precision cone of spray . Saves more than 50 percent on chemicals There is an autonomous machine undergoing trials that uses no chemicals but uses electricity to kill the weeds. There is another that uses lasers to kill weeds.
I’ve always gone with the brand that has the best dealer support in the area (sadly dealers change often around me nowadays). I don’t think you can go wrong with any of those dozers.
WTH, Kale?! What a way to end a video! Lost and showing signs of hypothermia all by your self on the grassland! Now we have to wait until the next video to see if you made it back home alive!!!!
