I have some rot and termite damage on my porch. This looks like it will be a good potential solution. Thank you for showing how this process works! I'm going to thumbs up and subscribe to help your channel!
Abatron recommends wood less than 17% moisture. I normally wet the wood with acetone or minwax wood hardener and then dry with a hair dryer before applying the LiquidWood. Also the WoodEpox should be applied while the surface wetted with LiquidWood is still tacky (after a couple of hours), and not after several days. Also, it is best to use a condiment type squirt bottle and a rag to apply the LiquidWood as a priming rather than sacrificing a brush.
I have rot under the cladding of Pella casement window , can I just use hardener and replace the cladding by glueing it on? The rot does not show until remove cladding which is aluminum.
You may need to scrape the loose, dry rot out first, apply the clear epoxy, allow ample time to dry then build up the area with the epoxy then glue the clad back on
What if the liquid wood gets smeared on new wood? A friend and I used it without knowing enough about it. Thinking it would harden, some was applied to a strip of new wood. Now I have new wood adjacent to the filled wood that is tacky. On day 3 I'm trying to wipe it with solvent, but it's not working. Help!
Thanks for the video. For an exterior wood door that's been scratched and grooved by a dog is this a good product or is that too thin of an application?
Thanks for posting this video. You make it seem like no big deal to do.
Excellent! Granny here. Going to use this on my pergola post that got too wet! Fingers crossed!

Thank you!
Waiting for my kit to arrive to repair exterior side of window. Thanks.
Will this adhere to painted areas?
Does the Abatron wood epoxy work on wood that's slighty moist? Thank you for your video

Yes abatron can be used on thin scratches, the key is to thin is out with water to a “spackle” like consistency.
I called the company and they said to only thin it with the liquid wood.
Do wood expoxy work on load bearing posts?
Yes it does. Its a structural repair product
@@HDFPainting Thank you very much.
Do you need to treat with fungicide first before applying liquid wood?
Any surface should be cleaned from mold, mild and dirt before applying the epoxy. Make sure the surface is dry at application point.
