Yeah nice configuration and WIFI back to a tablet running Navionics makes it so easy. Unfortunately as of Feb 2023, the XB-8000 is discontinued. Had I known a user could input their own MMSI #, I would have bought this model last season. The replacement brochure looks software complicated but has a integrated antenna splitter.

Another great video -- I believe that your MMSI number on the AIS should be the same as your VHF radio, if operated on the same boat.

With the installation of the powered splitter you shouldn’t need the mushroom antenna. Side note, I installed it anyway behind the nav station.
A AIS upgrade is due on my boat aswell.
