Dude’s been singing for on average of I’d guess 3 hours a day for almost 50 years. Unlike drums or guitars, your vocal chords are a finite resource that won’t improve over time. I’m sure if you did something physical for 50 years you’d probably be a “shadow” of yourself too. Ask any tiler, mason, construction worker, etc.
This is great but it hasn't a touch on the earlier version on the 360 tour. I'm sorry but Bono is passed it. He can't hit the big notes anymore. I love U2 but it's time to retire gracefully.

He's older and so does not have the vocal chops he once did, but this is still a very good rendition.
