I bought a ticket to the original live stream. "Bad Valentine" is the rawest and most amazing song I've ever heard. We know that Angelina is a super mega vocalist, but this was so good and powerful that it can't actually be described in words.

I don’t mind production and i don’t think Old Enough was over produced as some have commented but if this song is a powerful, emotional song as some have said, I think it is important that her voice stays out front, and is not altered.

Great video, and it was really interesting to learn the story of how If I Were a Boy was written. That makes me think it would also be very interesting to learn how Angelina and Toby Gad came to be working together.
edit: I am thinking that maybe Angelina decided she wanted a different style than what we hear on the songs in the ep, and Gad fit it.
edit#2: I just remembered that about 10 years ago I saw a relative of mine perform at the Hotel Cafe.
She has worked with many producers over the years. Stargate, Resone, at least 3 on Old Enough, now Tody Gad. She may not stick with one producer. It may depend on the songs she is doing. Her albums may have several producers like her EP
@@pjg58x I agree, and let me add that I am sure Angelina always has reasons for choosing to work with a particular producer rather than the many other ones she could work with. I am wondering what were her reasons for deciding to work with Gad.

I don't think she will perform barefeet anymore unless she wears a long dress suitable for that. Not with trousers. I don't think she will perform anymore openly barefeet. She is a grown up now. I might be wrong of course. To me that thing doesn't matter although I respect the story behind the barefeet thing and when she was a child that was a wondeful gesture. But there is just a new era for her career to starting up at the moment and certain things might change a little bit.
It all depends on the venue and rules that they have. If this is like a place where they serve food, then you can't walk in or have bare feet while you're inside. Doesn't matter if you're a customer or performer. Angelina will continue to perform bare feet as she stated at her Las Vegas shows. She'll continue doing it as long as it is permitted at the venues she performs at.....

And I understand it's not even supposed to be livestream but because of the high demand for tickets they did. Consider this event more like a closed circuit show rather than a public show.

@FlyingAngel0638 mind you, I wasn't wondering why she's not wearing shoes while performing. I think it's as the other individual said because it wasn't really her show she was just there as a guest and stepped in. If this had been HER performance at the venue, then of course she would have performed barefoot. Also, the "house rules" thing probably applies in addition to all of that. I was just making the remark about how unusual it is to see shoes on her feet while she's singing. We have grown so accustomed to the bare feet as that is her title, the Barefoot Princess, but I now call her Barefoot Empress😊

Is Angelina a writer on Bad Valentine?
Implied yes. Toby said "Angelina and I have been working on new material" then said "we" will release this song in a few months.
Watching it again he says to her that “it’s the story of your worst possible valentine.” So like most of her originals it kind of sounds like it’s her song that someone helps her with.
I not an Angel but I do think she has a great voice. If she ever performs a concert in the states I would consider attending. I would like to see her perform the next Bond theme, if the movie ever gets produced. Hopefully it would be a memorable song like Skyfall.
It would be unfortunate if she engaged in self destructive or trashy, reckless behavior like many other young, talented women get into when they get into the music business.
I like Lindsey Stirling in part because she's a class act.
I find it a little odd that so many of Angelina's die hard fans are older men who seem to idolize her to the extent they do.
I hope she's successful and can stay focued on her music and be safe and healthy.
Self destructive trashy reckless are pretty much the opposite of what AJ stands for. She's always been classy and mature beyond her years and I think that will continue. She may experiment with her appearance and fashion , and some of the protective grandparent types will take offense when she picks this dress or that look in the future. Heck she might even make a mistake or two in behavior (who among us hasn't?) ... but overall I'm confident she'll stay on the right path.
I certainly hope Angelina goes forward in a positive direction in her life. The loss of Whitney Houston and Amy Winehouse was tragic. Singers don't all have to be peaches and cream. My mom and I both liked Lady Gaga and I have a ticket to see her concert next month. I think it's tacky when you see a talented teen singer the tweens enjoy put out an album with lyrics full of profanities. Or they present themselves as a young lady who wears a purity ring and goes to church with their family and then they appear on a music awards show acting like trash.

Yes Angelina’s current audience is primarily older but that is probably because as a young girl she started out singing a lot of jazz, standards and old classic songs. Not necessarily the type of music that attracts a younger audience. She has covered many contemporary songs and has released her own material however the minimal promotion to date will not necessarily attract a lot of attention.
Once it is decided to fully promote her it will be interesting to see how she is marketed. Obviously the average fan age will need to get younger if she is to maintain a long and successful career. Us old timers will not be around forever.

I assume that the release of If I Were a Boy is independent of Republic Records since the album is a Toby Gad project with Angelina as a guest vocalist. I’m curious if the new song Bad Valentine will be released through Republic. The new songs they have worked on could be Angelina songs similar to the Old Enough songs which had some outside collaborators.
What i see is ,Angelina use so much different opportunities, i belief her contract with Republic's not a 360 everything include ...so she can make outside decision of her own ... and that would also explain why she has less Radio or showtimes ....(may be they give a number of money per month and Angelina and Management did on her own for what the money should be ) but that's just my thoughts about what i see ,...But it Works for Angelina for what i think

When fans were commenting how they were upset that Republic wasn’t promoting her, one response said that with Angelina’s deal it was her team’s responsibility for promotion, not necessarily Republic’s. That may be the case. Not sure what the details of the contract is.

I'm gonna point out that she's performing wearing shoes a mere couple of months after assuring us in Las Vegas that performing barefoot is part of her identity. Angelina fandom was a fun ride, but I think I'm done--at least for now. Best wishes to her, though.
There are other explanations you may want to consider before throwing on the towel. 2 theories: it's a restaurant or otherwise unsafe setting.broken glass etc.or she's there as a guest performer - this was an event about for and hosted by songwriters. It is not an Angelina concert. Her appearance wasn't even advertised in advance.
