I played at Tønder in the 1990s with Hölderlin Express, Someone cleared out their living room to provide a sofa and arm chairs to the "smaller" tent's backstage area…… I tried the legendary stew when it was still there and played for all the volunteers in the "last tent standing". It is so great to see that this institution is still flourishing and very much alive. So many great memories. This festival still ranks #1 when it comes to dedication and effort of everyone involved - basically the whole town. . Thank you, Tønder!
Tha Beurla ceart gu leòr, ach tha Gàidhlig sgoinneil! (English is ok, but Gaelic is brilliant!) Beginning Gaelic learner here. My apologies for any mistakes. Singing in English is OK, but please, Julie don't ever give up singing in Gaelic. Gaelic singing such as yours helped inspire me to learn the language. Keep this beautiful language with its beautiful songs and poetry alive. Tha Gàidhlig beò! (Gaelic is alive!)
There has been a great interest in Gaelic and Gaelic Song I bought a few years ago Anne Lorne Gillies book. "The songs of Gaelic Scotland, The Copyright is Anne Lorne Gillies and quite rightly with the Publisher Birlinn. Is there any place were people can go to learn these songs..???
