The real value of crash tests should be to demonstrate how safety has improved and why it pays to upgrade to the latest model. Crash a 1999 Renault Espace i to a 2004 model. Or a 2004 into a 2015 mk5.
Crash a 2001 Renault Laguna head on into a 2016 Renault Talisman. Or a 1999 BMW 5 series into a 2012 model. How about a 1999 Mondeo into a 2016 model?
Let us see how car safety has improved.
I disagree you should test same weight class as well as newer cars got bigger.
What a stupid test, i don't even believe i saw this.... The front of ANY car is made to deform a lot to absorb the impact energy. If the test was the Q7 hitting the C3 the result would have been be the same and the Q7 totally wrecked
Not exactly sure how this is "stupid." This shows the problem with mismatched bumper heights and the lack of outward protection from the bumper beam. The fact the Citroen's frontal structure doesn't extend out to the left or right far enough is the reason for so much deformation. If more manufacturers accounted for small overlap collisions, even in low-speed collisions, damage would not be nearly as great for the bullet vehicle.
@@CarPro1993 From my perspective it's stupid because the title of your video makes me think you are comparing these cars in a small overlap crash when in fact you only test the C3 against a Q7 and not the oposite too. So you only proved what everybody already knows, that the front of any car is always made to deform for safety reasons and the rear is always stronger. So the title is misleading, you should at least have explained your conclusions from this "test" in the description, not just "citroen c3" vs "audi Q7"...
@@mjcbento You may perceive the title as misleading because every click-bait crash test video uses "versus" to compare two vehicles, but my use of versus has always been explicitly to describe a car-into-car scenario. I'm not here to "mislead" people and as far as I'm concerned my title is not misleading. A title having " Target Vs. Bullet " just indicates the Target vehicle is being impacted by the Bullet vehicle and is NOT making a comparison. I've never felt it necessary to "explain myself" when I upload a video, people are free to take from my videos what they choose. So therefore, if you find it misleading then that's your take from this video.
@@mjcbento if the roles were reversed the q7 would probably have a broken headlight with a little bit of damage. Big suvs always deform less when hitting a Small car from the back. Look at dash cams.

So Q7 needs a bumper, the exhaust bending back and a little bit of bodywork on the boot/replacement. C3 is dead. Shows the strength of the Q7 in a rear impact.

Next time, i advise you to replace Citroën C3 by an Audi A1. It would also be fun to place the Q7 at the rear, and put a Panzer or a Sherman tank at the front to verify which one is the stiffest

It seems the Citroën car has 4.5 star instead of 5 star because the airbag deploy late,forcing the head to the headrest,it could have injuries
the bumper bar and the crash member in the citroen aren't even touched by the impact... the car hit directly with the upper sill of the body. that doesn't seem like a clever design.

Normslne. The cars at the front have a crumple zone. The front is to be damaged very much because it absorbs the impact energy in this way. Therefore, hitting the car in the back of another car is always more devastating for the front.
The Citroen is a write off, but you could still take your kids to school in the Audi.

No es porque sea un Citroën que quede así, sino porque las partes delanteras de los coches están diseñadas para absorber lo máximo posible en caso de colisión, por eso que a nada que pegues por delante se destroza todo. Les falta hacer que el Q7 choque con la trasera del C3, muchos se sorprenderían.
Le bouclier ne protege pas les bords sur cette voiture tout comme beaucoup de petite européénne ford fiesta 2010 comprise et c'est une honte causant des déclassement et sinistre totale inutile voir même des blessés inutiles de plus l'audi est beaucoup plus haute, les 2 boucliers ne sont pas face a face et l'impact de la citroen n'est rien d'autre que de la tôle qui se chifonne le bouclier ne joue pas son rôle car l'impact est trop bas et le bouclier de la citroen n'est pas prolongé sur les bord... un amis avec une super belle bmw s'est pris un rail de sécurité la structure chassis et bouclier sont passer en dessous donc ce n'est que la tole qui a amortie et l'etat de la bmw était plus abîmée qu'elle aurait du mais habitacle indemne alors que le rail aurait été plus bas le bouclier aurait amortit et elle aurait peu bouger mais que dire quand le bouclier ne joue pas son rôle, les allemands font d'exellentes voitures avec peu de reproches et clairement que l'audi est bien plus costaud a bien des niveaux et de meilleur qualité mais un vrai face a face avec un vehicule de même hauteur aurait été plus adapté...

Why did the driver bag pop?
Telluride Driver airbags don’t turn on or off like most newer passenger airbags do. They’re always on because there will always be a driver in normal circumstances. The passenger seat could be empty or even have a child who could be endangered by the passenger airbag.

The Citroen clearly doesn't have a wide enough crossmember, that's why there is so much deformation. At the speed of a usual moderate overlap crashtest, the passenger compartment would most likely already start to collapse.

Le pire c'est pour trouver des pièces chez Peugeot, c'est mission impossible sans passer par des sites de vente de pieces sur le web. J'ai fait 4 garages et le 5ieme me dit je vais vous la commander la pièce mais il me dit que ca ne sert à rien de la changer... bref peugeot plus pour moi...
