love this subject for an asmr video! as a woman in my late 20s, this is definitely something i think a lot about. for me, it’s almost been the opposite challenge - learning how to do things WITH someone else. i got the “do it alone” part down, but it’s been a ride figuring out how to do that with my current partner. your voice is so relaxing and i love your outlook - real and fresh.
Ugh same. I feel like a lot of my female friends are in the same boat, too. It's like a lot of women have responded to this loneliness crisis with hyper independence (but also it seems hard to find a partner who we can trust and depend on enough to integrate into our lives)
@@leahdarski preach!! so true. covid definitely also perpetuated that independence for me. skills i’m happy to have but also sometimes i think aspects of it are a weakness of mine because ultimately i do want a healthy relationship with another person (for me, a man)! also so wild, my name is also leah 😋
both my relationships that didn’t work out were huuuge lessons & i learned so much about myself and what i want so i feel like letting things happen naturally is the way they were meant to happen
i came across your video and loved it, this is the type of topics i like to hear and talk about, im just a girl with a lot of love to give, and just like you said i also love love being single all high school and great part of college while my friends were having long relationships or went in and out of one, really teach me to learn how to manage my individuality and basically learning to live with myself without depending in someone, even though it was a little bit sad watching my friends having this type of romantical love i never gave me the chance of experience it 100% i would just go to dates now and then, but later in time i realized those years of being "alone"/singe really built in my character and the vision of having a life and hobbies without being attached to someone. until i met my partner, im 22 and this is the first man i have something formal and settled, we have been toguether for over a year and we had a very rough start but since then until now ive learn soo much not only on how to manage a relationship but of myself also, i was very unexperienced and i still have a lot to learn but everything has been worth it, is not easy being in a relationship because is something you have to build day after day, but in my opinion the key into having a healthy and sane relationship is communication and compromise always talk about how you feel but also be willing to hear how your partner feels, is has to be reciprocate. Thanks to everything i learn by myself before my partner, really helped me in having great balance in between my life in and out my relationship, i do love spending time and going out with my boyfriend but i also love being alone or with my friends, is something my partner has always respect but i also respect the fact that he also has a life out of our relationship, is a matter of two and as i already said is has to be reciprocate ...love is so crazy that i think no one is capable to understand it, we just try to figure out every day omgg i made it so long, srry
That was really well said, and thank you so much for sharing your experience. It sounds like. you've figured out a good balance for yourself, and I feel like that goes such a long way in making things work for both yourself and your relationship. And you're right, communication is soooo necessary. Thanks for watching!
This was honestly so profound and made a lot of what I have been getting in my head about for the past few years, (I’ve chosen to stay alone for as long as what feels best) feel tangible. Thank you I think us in our early twenties can appreciate how fluid everyone’s love life is!
It's a very volatile and confusing time, but I think building some stability in yourself and your life goes a long way when you decide to share it with somebody else one day. Thanks for watching Nadia
I keep drifting off but wanted to say you're amazing! You have such a great voice for whispering, and long videos are a rare god-send on YT these days. Thank you for the good sleep! 🙏
beautiful video brother. thank you for sharing. i am 20 and my girlfriend of 3 years broke up with me about seven months ago. funnily i think the reason she broke up with me is very similar to the reason you broke up with your first girlfriend. it was sweet to hear the perspective laid out so gently and thoroughly. i teared up a little i ain’t gon lie. 😂 but man. i agree so deeply with so much of what you said. probably four or five months after the breakup, my ex said something to the effect of “i wish i could make you forget me”. i told her with a smile that that would be the very worst thing she could do to me. breaking up was easily the hardest thing i’ve ever been through, and thus it was the most valuable as well. through this experience i have grown and learned so fucking much, about myself and about the world. i am more optimistic than i’ve ever been about life, and about love. i’m so proud of the progress i have made and the person i am on my way to becoming. i started talking with a new girl for the first time last week. i feel so much more confident and capable of love than i ever did in my first relationship. i’m fuckin hyped man. love is sick as hell. even when it doesn’t work out, like you said. honestly hope this girl breaks my heart too 👀📈😂 i’m boutta be OP! good luck out there bro. wife her up
That's so exciting bruh I'm happy for you. It really reminds you that you're capable of being content without somebody else, which I think only makes your next relationship better, because you aren't falling into those insecure or anxious habits to try and please them. You know you'll live either way and it helps you feel better about yourself and what life could be for you. Thanks for the comment and I hope it works out for you brotha
Hey Jacob love these kinda whispering videos can you do more of these also love when you wear sweaters should wear more also I love this angle view you should do more of that too in upcoming videos ❤
honestly it sounds like you haven't learned your lesson, haven't taken your own advice, have dependency issues, and are caught up romanticizing life and get upset when you're actually just coping with life...which is full of struggle...
All your reasons sounds like you want to be single, however a relationship shouldn't be holding you back from doing a lot of those things too, it takes two to tango, they have to respect you too and you shouldn't be thinking about taking on another job for more money, my question is, is the other person not chipping in too or are you paying for everything because that is not a fair or reasonable relationship. I'm 38, so I've experienced my 20s honestly I was single most of them just by personal choice. Because I was like yourself, questioned everything, I'm also best at being on my own, Honestly choose your own path but also note that friends come and go throughout your life, you will find new friends in time, you can still take up a hobby in a relationship but also by being single too, but don't rush into a relationship if you are wanting to date others, you are still young and have plenty of time to learn and discover life too you can still learn about life with a partner but can also do the same on your own. If your partner isn't allowing you to do the things you want to do then it's not a healthy relationship. But then are you just putting everything to the side to focus just on your relationship because that's not healthy for you or your relationship. You can still gain new friends in a relationship or on your own. Join a club (like a running club or book club etc). I also recommend getting a therapist to help you with some of the hurdles. A therapist helped me with ways of making new friends and it has helped me greatly. Typing this as you talk about everything and you are questioning everything so this is probably all over the place lol but don't be overthinking life. Everyone makes mistakes, we all learn from them. Just make sure you are enjoying life and you are happy, if you're not happy and have all these questions then you have brought up in the video, speak with the therapist they can help you, they won't tell you what to do but will give you guidance. Lastly, you keep breathing away from the mic just breathe into it, it adds to the tingles of asmr 👍🏻
the breathing thing is so real, i just started my channel and its soo hard to do asmr sometimes. also in regards to the video im so glad you found someone! i am in my early 20s and have been with the same person for three years and this is my first relationship. Its scary bc i am so grateful of course but sometimes i think of what else is out there.. but i know its about commitment and loyalty but i feel so young to be already settling down !
1:09 could somebody please tell me how to get my shit sorted out (I'm /) We're on a break with my boyfriend of four years and we're probably going to break up soon. He was a very nice escape from reality but now... It's scary. I'm probably gonna drop out if uni... I'm 21(also not american and not a native english speaker) I'll use the comment section as therapy ✨ I'm so scared that I'm going to fail in life... It's my 5th semester and it's really hard(research is hard) and I'm not really invested in my major. Also I thought I had this one thing in life that was a success - I did this one thing right. Got a boyfriend. My first and my last... Well... Guess not. I'm heartbroken. He is too probably. We have grown apart and... We've given the relationship a second and even a third chance. Yes, I feel like shit... I can't sleep without asmr and without thinking about my future failing. Now what... Trail and error is so much better as a saying. Practice is pain.(sounds like victim behaviour but honestly... That's what I have and.. Yes, that's my best right now)

Dating in my 20’s has been mad embarrassing like I’m really 26 telling my friends i have a crush? 🤣
LOL as soon as I started watching I was like yup he still can’t whisper and breathe 😅
The breathing is relaxing actually when you take a deep breath!!
Try breath right nasal strips I use them on runs and they are magical 🤞🏼

I think dating in 2024 is cooked in general. The only way to really date is in person and even then that’s difficult.
