That looks so painful. You never cease to amaze me. I have a chronic pain issue from so many spinal surgeries but your illnesses are a full time job. Most days you just push through and act like it's just another day but everything you have to do is so time consuming, no matter how you feel you just do it. You are a trooper and someone to be admired.☺

When I had a bone density scan, I didn’t know that you couldn’t wear any metal so I had to wear a gown because my shorts had a metal button on them
Damn, you did a lot this day. I agree with the comment saying what a trooper you are. I agree that we all need to think about our health & wellness each day, but you have a lot more on your check list. Your attitude and positivity through it all makes you a superior being. 😉

Thank you for bringing us along on your day. I also soak my tubbie pads before I wash them. I got a mesh bag to put them I and then I just put the mesh bag in the washer if I am washing stuff on hot water. But if I don't have a bunch to wash then I just wash them by hand like you are... Lot Tom's thinks that make you go hmmm question, I have asked that question a few times to my friends that are twins... Can't wait to watch a video with your new mic. Amy, I have been following you for a long time now and love your videos. I also have a feeding tube that had granulation tissue. I didn’t know what it was at first. I didn’t want to tell my doctor. I cleaned it with hydrogen peroxide 2-3 times a day thinking it was an infection. It wasn’t painful at all. The hydrogen peroxide dried it up and it fell off and never came back. After it fell off I found it that it was granulation tissue and it’s pretty normal to get with a feeding tube. When it first started, I was afraid it was an infection and didn’t want to tell my doctor because I was afraid they might take the feeding tube out and I would have to go through the surgery all over again. Glad it wasn’t an infection, but I’m glad I thought it was because I found out that hydrogen peroxide works wonders for granulation tissue.
I just wanted to say I absolutely love all of your videos and I’m so grateful that you share your life because without finding your channel I wouldn’t have realised that the way I was feeling was not normal and encouraged me to talk to my doctor about it 💛☺️

Aw Amy! I think you do a fantastic job showing what life is like with a chronic illness. I can imagine doctors/hospitals sometimes get weird about being filmed.
My best friend’s, when I was growing up, were the children of identical twins that had married identical twins!!!
(...and yeah, they were very similar...!, and no they had separate weddings (...everyone always asks them if they got married together!), and their granny always said it would have saved them loads of money to have a double wedding!).

Amy I love your channel we are from the same area when you lived in England I am struggling myself and find your channel so helpful to me in the last 6 weeks I’ve been diagnosed with 3 things and my heads up my arse I’ve been diagnosed with Gastroparesis fibromyalgia and nephrocalcinosis I never am pain free and it’s hard having my kids to look after and me suffering ... watching you helps me know that it’s not easy for anyone and we can all help each other with the struggles we have I really wish I had met u when you lived in the uk I absolutely love your channel 💖
Kerry Horrocks I’m so sorry you’re struggling hun. I have gastroparesis as well, among other things, and it’s hard dealing with chronic illness when you have little ones to care for. My kids have seen me sick most of their lives, but they also see me fighting like hell to give them a normal life. Keep your chin up and stay strong!
Kim Daniels Awww this is so sweet thank you I’ve been struggling for a good 10 years it takes so long sometimes to find out what it is my older kids are so used to it they say mum don’t forget all your meds ... I try so hard to as I just want my children to be able to do things others do ...have you any tips of what helps you better food wise with Gastroparesis as I’m eating all the wrong things ... Amy spray the gunky pads with vanish gold and soak in boiling hot water. Then chuck in a hot cycle washing mashine wash with a little of the antibacterial stuff and they will be spotless.

I've seen the same movie trailer a couple of times every day, for the past couple of days - just by catching up on your content. I can now become the voice over person - as I already know what they are going to say^_^
Hi Amy! I love your vlogs so much ☺ I'm not criticising or anything, I just wanted to share some tips I've found over the years as a health professional. Absolutely follow your own medical team's advice and do what you're shown by them. During an update one of the feed reps told me to avoid using gauze as a dressing for stomas as this apparently leaves tiny fibres to irritate and potentially cause infection. They told me to stick to foam dressings while the area is sore. I've never seen any articles to support this so as I say I'm not critising at all just wanted to share what I was told 😘
Jemma Twigg i totally understand that! I used to use a different gauze that left little bits around my stoma! But now I use split drainage dressing (the one I’m currently using) and it doesn’t leave any bits ❤️
Very nice video. I am a medical geek you might say, so I am rather fascinated by medical stuff. I have been watching you for a little while and trying to watch past vlogs/videos and I understand why you have a feeding tube but I am curious about the granulation tissue. Is it irritated skin because of the stomach acid that come through or is it something else? Sorry if this is a strange question. By the way I love your outfit it is so cute.
Nora Jung granulation tissue can be from both acid and the feeding tube itself. When I switched to the AMT G-Jet button the granulation tissue reduced as compared to when I had the dangler tube as it was heavier and rubbed a lot more in the lower part of my stoma.

Does the g port on your button vent well? I have a GJ dangler but would love to get a button.
Kim Daniels I had a dangler and I found it vented better if I was venting foods, but the button vents stomach acid and liquids easily.
It vents liquids really well! But solids not so great! My dangler was better for that. However I still absolutely love my GJ and would take it any day over my dangler and NJ xx

I work for a security firm and we drive around in an SUV that looks a lot like a police SUV and it's so funny when we're driving behind people at night 🤣 they'll slow down and you can tell they're trying to be super careful lol, it's a little annoying as we're always in a hurry to attend an emergency but I totally get why people get so scared.

Hey Amy, I love your videos. I have a question after watching your AWESOME TPN setup video. When you unclamped your Hickman line, why don’t you bleed out of it? A bit like your gastric tube, if that unclamps, I believe you leak everywhere? Random question but I’m genuinely interested. :)
Danni R I’m not actually sure, I think it’s a one way valve, so you can only get draw back if you physically syringe it out. I think anyway 😅

There is a one way valve BUT if there ever was to be blood coming out on it’s own you’d need to go to the hospital as the line is broken.
